Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday on this houseboat, perfectly located on the edge of the quiet medieval city of Aigues-Mortes. You look directly upon the massive walls of Aigues-Mortes, and you are very close to the vineyards and the beaches!

Our péniche, named 'Poompui', is moored opposite of the main road (no noise!). You will also have your own parking spot, so you can easily travel here by car! Aigues-Mortes is close to the city of Montpellier, so you can make day trips if you like. Poompui's nautical charme, in combination with the comfort of your own personal houseboat, will give you a unique holiday experience. Come aboard, and let this cozy houseboat enchant you!

Houseboat description

The houseboat has a nice wooden interior, with a 40 m2; living room, and a 35 m2; terrace on the roof of the boat. The living room has a nice fully equipped kitchen (electric stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave), and is completely furnished. There is also a large flatscreen TV available to watch your favorite movies and tv shows. The master bedroom has a large double bed, raised to the height of the porthole, giving you a constant view of your surroundings. The second room has bunk beds, so ideally sleeps two children! The bathroom has a bath and shower. The houseboat in general is spacious and light, because there are windows all around!

The location has a lot to offer. You can visit the well-preserved beaches of Grau du Roi, or walk inside the walled city of Aigues-Mortes, one of the nicest towns in France, and visit the many shops, boutiques, restaurants, café's, etc. You can also book boat trips through the area of Camarque or the famous Canal-du-Midi. Or take the car and visit amazing cities such as Arles, Avignon, Montpellier, Nimes, Sete or Beziers.

    The place is really great, the barge is located at the foot of the ramparts of the city of Aigues Mortes, 5 minutes on foot. It is very pleasant to sleep on a barge with all the comforts. Being able to park the car nearby is free of charge.

    The location was great with great views on the city walls. Inside was nice and comfy. Really lovely to have breakfast on top of the boat looking at Aigues Mortes!
