Beautiful private family houseboat. Unique! This is a complete private houseboat with its own entrance and front door. So not a room in a houseboat, but the entire floating houseboat you can use during your stay in Amsterdam. The location is popular. Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark, Leidseplein and Anne Frank museum are within walking distance. You can stay here for a few nights as a home away from home vacation.

Maximum 4 guests allowed. Families with children are welcome.

Smoking Policy and Preferences

Please non-smoking guests, we hate the smell of smoke. Preferably a family (with children), pensioners, or business people for RAI Events. Ideal stay because it is very centrally located to all major attractions in Amsterdam, within walking distance by tram.

Experience on the water

As a true 'houseboater' I love to share the experience of living on the WATER. My houseboat is completely yours during your stay. (My private belongings are stored.) I offer a personal approach and look forward exclusively to welcoming you on board to give you the key. After that you can enjoy the entire houseboat with your family. By sharing information about both the neighborhood and the houseboat, you will feel like a local as soon as you enter. Please note: the houseboat and the terrace are non-smoking, so people who smoke are not welcome. Children love the houseboat and never want to leave! Leidseplein, Museumplein and the shopping streets of the Jordaan are all within walking distance. Trams and buses, airport shuttle 397, stop around the corner. Attractions, restaurants and supermarkets can be reached within 3 minutes. Although the houseboat is very centrally located, the mooring is away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, so you wake up to the sounds of birds...

Rental conditions

Before you ask a question: I only rent my house to strict non-smokers. My houseboat is also not bookable for partygoers from a young group of friends.

Taxiservice

The taxi service special price for my guests is 40 euros. The driver will pick you up from the airport and bring you directly to the houseboat within 18 minutes.

Airport Bus Shuttle

The airport bus shuttle 397 leaves every 15 minutes from the bus platform just in front of the airport exit and stops 45 minutes later at bus station Elandsstraat. Get out and walk 5 minutes to Kinkerstraat; go left at Da Costakade. There's also a Niteliner night bus if your flight arrives very late, after midnight.

Getting to the Houseboat from Central Station

It is easy to get to the houseboat from Central Station. Just take tram 17, and after 5 stops, you get out. From there, it is just a 3-minute walk (350 m).

'Oud West' Overview

'Oud West', Old West, but better known as 'Gold West' nowadays, as our part of the city is called, is known for the laid-back and quiet atmosphere, but also for many main attractions (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Anne Frank House) within walking distance. You are assured to have a good night's rest since the tourist masses just don't frequent our canal. So, you have the best of both worlds.

Convenient Location

The houseboat is conveniently located at a short distance from the buzzing Leidse Square (Leidseplein, 7 min. walking), Museum Square (12 min. walking) (Van Gogh Museum, MOCO-Banksy, Stedelijk, and the National Rijksmuseum), and the wonderful Vondelpark (7 min. walking). Although the location is very central, you can be assured of a great night's rest since the actual neighborhood where we live is very calm, safe, and quiet at night.

Dining Options

Great restaurants surround the houseboat. Indonesian, Indian, Thai, Dutch, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, etc., are all within a 5-minute walk. Also, the famous INDOOR FOODHALLEN is located within walking distance.
