Welcome aboard. Stay safe and corona-proof in B&B de Albatros
In our floating B&B you can experience living on the water. The two rooms, called Beach and Dune, have a lovely waterfront view, and we are glad to offer a part of our garden that you may call your own, overlooking the canal. The ferry is only 5 minutes away by bike and takes you into the heart of Amsterdam for free.
Our B&B is very much appreciated by guests who want to discover the wonderful city of Amsterdam, yet enjoy the tranquility of our neighborhood. No tourist masses, but only an occasional water bird passing by. Therefore you are assured to have a great night rest during your stay.
About the bedrooms
Each bedroom has a private en-suite bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. You will have your own entry as well, so your privacy is ensured. The large windows let in lots of light, creating a very nice, light and bright atmosphere.
Our houseboat, a modern barge, is located on a quiet canal in Amsterdam. The swans, geese, and ducks swimming by will bring you in a good mood for sure, as well as the reflection of the water on your bedroom ceiling. It's just something that no hotel room can match.
Enjoy the garden
If you just want to take it easy and love to hang out, you will enjoy our garden with roofed terrace for sure. Sit back and relax in the lounge corner, go swimming or canoeing in the canal or light up a BBQ!
The breakfast is DIY-style, served in the common pantry and to be enjoyed in your own room or the garden. This is included in the price and has a nice Dutch touch to it with cheese, meats and fresh fruit.
We rent out two sturdy city bikes, so you can get around easily. Of course, you will visit the city center, but be aware that there is lots of nature to enjoy literally around the corner. The Twiske, Waterland and the Zaanse Schans are popular destinations to enjoy the Dutch countryside. If you are traveling by car, we're pleased to say that you can park your car right in front of the door - quite exceptional in Amsterdam!
Couples and families welcome
We warmly welcome families up to four persons and couples traveling together. As we live on the same boat and we love to keep a good relationship with our neighbors, we want to let you know that we're not a party place. Otherwise, we love to have you aboard and share the wonderful experience of living on the water!

With heavy luggage you better take the metro 2 stops and from there the bus which stops just around the corner, This takes also 20 minutes
About the area

Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms
Elise is a wonderful hostess and the rooms are both very clean and nicely decorated. Thanks for the great service, good tips about what to do and where to eat. Appreciate it!

Charming hosueboat with friendly hosts
We have stayed with Elise for three nights and can only recommend this wonderful place. The rooms are not huge but very neat and they both offer a nice waterfront view. It was pleasant to have a drink in the garden and it is easy to get into town. The fact that the boat was not right in the city centre was not a problem at all. After a nice day in town visiting various museums, it was actually really nice to be back home in the more quiet North part of Amsterdam. The trip over the IJ River was a real pleasure every time again. Thanks for having us!
