What to expect?

Apartment 1

In the first apartment, the high end double bed (200x160 cm) is located in the front of the hull, and although beneath water level this is probably the most elevating place you and your beloved one ever slept. 

The bathroom offers everything you need during a well deserved houseboat holiday in Amsterdam: shower, toilet and sink with lighted mirror, as well as a hair dryer. 

Be assured that the apartment is very well insulated and equipped with comfortable floor heating so you will be nice and warm even on the coldest winter days.

Furthermore the whole place offers enough wall- and USB sockets, so you won't have any issues charging your electrical devices.

Apartment 2

In the living room under the panoramic wheelhouse, there is a wooden couch and dining table to enjoy breakfast while making plans for a new day in town. The kitchenette offers a micro-wave, freezer, toaster and coffeemaker and water cooker. There are no real cooking facilities, but with so much wonderful restaurants and bars around we imagine you don't want to think about cooking yourself at all. 

Please note :
it is possible for us to covert the couch behind the wooden table into a bed. Only upon request,before you arrive.
In that case you can not use the table any longer as described above, as it all becomes a double bed.

On the lower level there is a huge double bed with a bathroom en suite with a shower, toilet, hairdrier and mirror.  You can see the waters outside while having a shower and sometimes swans too :)

We have chosen to use on board a combination of 'earthy' materials such as wooden timber-work, warm cotton bedding and rugged steel and copper details to show the industrial history of this former freight ship. Please keep in mind that children below 6 years old are not allowed. Babies are.

Along with the shades of ivory paint this results in a warm and natural atmosphere. There are plenty of wall- and very useful USB-sockets so you won't have any problems charging your devices during your stay.

The whole apartment has comfortable floor heating and great insulation so you will be comfortably warm even during the coldest winter nights. We have fans and aerco's should you be too hot in the summer.

The neighborhood 

Although our harbor is nice and quiet, you will be in the middle of the city life within a minute walking. We hope that during your stay with us you will enjoy one another and the pleasures our neighborhood and our city offers. This is why we do not have televisions or radio's on board. But for the ones who can not live without (social) media, we do offer excellence fast WiFi. The only thing you have to do is bring your own mobile(smart)phone or tablet/computer with you.

Across the street you find one of the many great bars around: Café Pollux, laid back place to have a drink or simple meal. Walk on and you will find many other places to eat, with cuisines basically from every corner of the world. In the immediate neighborhood you will find the buzzing Zeedijk and Red Light district, as well as the Maritime and Science museums. Get inspired on the daily market Nieuwmarkt and find cool stuff on the Waterloo Square (Waterlooplein). Walk the other way and you will enjoy the amazing views over the IJ-River, and when the sun is shining make sure to visit the terrace of bar Hannekes Boom!
