Available this summer: a super cozy, warm and comfortable family houseboat on the world famous Prinsengracht. You could be staying here with your beloved ones, overlooking the famous Prinsengracht right in the heart of the Jordaan area. And yes, it's the whole boat, so not just a room. The boat offers two bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed and a unique en-suite bathroom.
When visiting Amsterdam this probably is just the place for you. Wether you are traveling with your familie or friends, our ship will be welcoming you warmly. Not only because of the cozy and personal interior. Also because you are assured to be comfortably warm - even during the coldest winter nights - thanks to the central heating all through the boat.
And the location? For those who know Amsterdam, it's not a secret that the Prinsengracht is one of the most wonderful canals in the city. As soon as you walk out the door you have a wide range of great bars and restaurants within eye-sight. Walk a bit further and you're wandering through the magical winter wonderland (if lucky with snow or even frozen canals) that our city is turned into every January.
Now something more about the boat. The boat is renovated recently with eye for detail and character. We have chosen for lots of wooden elements, timeless furniture and fresh colors throughout the ship.
In the first bedroom you will find a charming classic bathtub and, just like the rest of the spaces, wonderful canal views. So don't be surprised when you are greeted by a swan or duck just after waking up.
The second bedroom is located at the other side of the boat and is adjacent to the living room with kitchenette. Note that this is an open space, but what a space! Here you find a gas burner that creates a very cozy, comfortable and warm atmosphere during the cold winter nights. Snuggle up, have a drink and you know it: life is good!
Between the second bedroom and living room with kitchenette you will find a shower. The kitchenette is simple, but enables you to make a wonderful breakfast or simple meal. With two burners it might be not the best place to cook a 8-course diner, but then again: who wants to cook when you have so many wonderful restaurants around the corner?
WHAT TO EXPECT
Just to give you an impression of what you may expect from our beloved neighborhood, let me tell you what you see when you step off the boat. On your left hand you will see the Westertoren, on your right is the Noordermarkt with its famous flea market on Monday mornings. It is just a 1-minute walk from The Anne Frank House. Shops, restaurants and bars everywhere. Ducks, swans, boats and really everything that floats passes-by.
All this in the middle of the area that's loved most by 'Amsterdammers' and people all over the world. In the city heart of all the fun. Compact and all you need within a few minutes walking.
Located at the border between the famous Amsterdam canals and the lively Jordaan. All facilities at walking distance, like supermarkets, laundry, bars, restaurants, hop on hop off boat, culture, really everything.
We hope to have given you the best possible impression, but don't hesitate to as if you have any questions - always glad to help!

How to get there
Just 10 minutes walk from Central Station or Dam Square, if you don't get lost on the canals. Tram 17 stops close-by. Many options to go to Museum District and other parts of town. You're really in the city center. From the airport Uber is about 25 (depending on traffic), regular taxi around 60 euro (if lucky), best option is just come by train : )
About the area
The houseboat is on Prinsengracht, the border between popular Jordaan with its hundreds of bars and restaurants, and the famous canals. You're middle in the action, yet quiet at night. Not too miss: Anne Frank House and Westertoren, Noordermarkt (great flea market on Monday mornings), Museum District, Red Light District and off course a boat trip along your own houseboat!

Warm and comfortable houseboat
We stayed at the houseboat of Anita and Edward during a wonderful, cold January weekend and totally fell in love with the place. Not only the location is amazing (right in the middle of the Jordaan area) but also the boat itself is wonderful. We had a bit cold feet about staying on a houseboat in the winter, but there was no need to be hesitant. The boat has comfortable floor heating and proved to be the perfect haven during our stay. See you next winter!

Really enjoyed staying hereThe houseboat was amazing! Perfect location in the heart of Amsterdam, very clean, everything in walking/biking distance and most of all: Anita was incredibly helpful, communication with her very easy, always quick to answer every question (kind of a tour guide and host at the same time ;)). I would definitely stay here again next time! And any way: What better place to stay in Amsterdam than in a houseboat? Thanks a thousand!

Perfect Amsterdam houseboat for couples traveling together
Our visit to Amsterdam was just unforgettable. Traveling with a befriended couple we stumbled upon this charming houseboat in the Jordaan, one of the most charming places in Amsterdam. The personal interior (loved the bath!) and cool colors made this place really one of a kind. The amount of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walking is astonishing, and makes the kitchen pretty much obsolete ;-) Thanks for having us and see you this winter again ;-)
