Houseboat description
Our raft is built on a solid floating construction of 19,5 sqm. The hut itself has a total surface of 13 sqm and is suitable for 2 to 4 persons. The interior is basic and designed with attention for sustainability, built in such a way to leave the smallest carbon footprint possible.
The raft is equipped with a comfortable double bed, but we do welcome up to four guests. We offer a self inflating mattress and pillow for each guests over two persons.
On request we can arrange a bed linnen package, consisting of a duvet, bottom sheet, duvet cover and 2 pillowcases. You can order this by clicking 'Linnen package' in the Extra's.
We also can provide a breakfast service to start the day nicely. Our kitchen works with sustainable products and gets its inspiration from traditional Dutch dishes. The breakfast service provides all the fresh ingredients for a typical Dutch breakfast with which you can easily prepare it yourself at the time you want. The breakfast service can be ordered at the 'Extra's' on the right side of this page.
Are your accompanied by a dog? Not a problem, your four footed friend is more than welcome. We kindly ask a small allowance. Please click the box 'I bring a dog' with the Extra's.

About the area
The surrendering of our houseboat are full with many attractiveness that you can enjoy during your stay, from natural to historical sites.
One that recommend to visit is FORT UITERMEER
Fort Uitermeer is an old fort that has been included in the New Dutch Water Line and later in the Stelling van Amsterdam. This line of defense around the Dutch capital was the final refuge for the army and government during the war. The scaffolding was constructed between 1880 and 1914.
Unique nature
In addition to the historical value, the site also has an important natural value. At Uitermeer, you can enjoy the traditional Dutch age nature biodiversity, which is formed by the atrium waters such as the Vecht that is linked to the new natural landscape of peat bogs that has been formed around the Naardermeer for some years. This has created a unique flora and fauna and otters, various species of bats live there and the kingfisher nestles in the area.
The area is ideal for walks, bike rides or canoe trips on the Vecht.
Hiking
There are also several beautiful walking routes in the nature that you can enjoy in the immediate proximity of the houseboat, such as: Rondje Naardermeer (19.6 km) and the Aetsveld route (11.8 km).
Fort Uitermeer is the starting point of the hiking network route and part of routes 74, 75 and 76.
Bicycles
For those who are passionate about biking we suggest to explore the Gooi & Vecht region by bike through the beautiful nature, along the most beautiful river in the Netherlands, the Vecht and through picturesque villages and (fortified) towns.
Canoeing
Explore the Vecht from the water at a leisurely pace with the canoe that is directly available from the terrace of the lodge. This can easily be rented for a half day or whole day.
Eating and drinking and entertainment!
Close to your houseboat you can also benefit from restaurant to theater!
Plofhuis 7 is one of the eight remaining powder storage houses on the fort site. Plofhuis 7 has been restored and since September 2017 it has been used as a culture house with a mini-theater. Every month there are small-scale theater performances, concerts, lectures, exhibitions and more.
