The Ivory Wheelhouse - super central and cozy

The location is truly unique. Our city harbor, one of the oldest in Amsterdam, is located between Central Station, the IJ river and the inner city. Although lots of absolute highlights are just around the corner (from the Dam Square and red light district to the Maritime museum), you will be surprised how quiet this place is at night. Actually I still can't believe it myself, having such a secluded haven in the city center. 

This is what you get

We have recently renovated this ship, making it possible to build 'the perfect houseboat'. By using the shape of the ship, we have managed to create a unique and personal holiday home on the water. You can see the water trough the portholes even when you sit at the table or use the bathroom.

We hope that during your stay you will enjoy one another and the pleasures our neighborhood and our city offers. This is why we do not have televisions or radio's on board. But for the ones who can not live without (social) media, we do offer excellence fast WiFi. The only thing you have to do is bring your own mobile(smart)phone or tablet/computer with you. Upon request we can organize a device for you as well.

a spacious deck and yes, you can jump in the waters and swim here too!

Get out there!

During the spring, summer and autumn it is great to sit outside and relax in the communal lounger area on the quay. Please note that people live here, so we kindly ask not to be loud after 21.00 to ensure everyone getting a good night rest. We highly recommend to check out café Pollux across the street if you want to stay out longer ;-)
