The Jordaan Wheelhouse - 2 BR - Sleeps 4

The houseboat is small, but very cosy. We had breakfast in the sun over the water. Many cafés and restaurants are directly in Jordaan, and the market on Noorderrkerk is beginning across the street. So nice!

We'll miss being on this wonderful houseboat, watching the birds swim by and living right in the centre of the lively Jordaan area. The exceptional good February weather gave a silver lining to our stay on this floating apartment. The wheelhouse is a real cool place to be and watch the city life go by while you feel like a true local. The beds are comfortable and in the wheelhouse you can sit back and relax with a drink at hand. At least, if you decide not to frequent the bar Thyssen right across the street - a super nice place with a great sunny terrace. And we we had the best lamb ever in an Italian restaurant called Il Fiore, also within 1 minute walking. The place is not huge, but offers great comfort and a unique Amsterdam houseboat experience. Thanks Eliane for having us. We hope to be back one day!

Staying on a houseboat was by far absolutely the best way to spend a few days in Amsterdam city centre. Location, cleanliness, is 5 *. Be aware the steps to the bedrooms are steep and 1 bedroom is accessed down a ladder, but for us this added to our experience of being on a houseboat. Given a 4* as the interior has aged since the marketing images were taken. Would book again and recommend..

A very nice houseboat. We felt very comfortable. Even overrunning another boat went well. It's in a different spot in Amsterdam, but that wasn't a bad thing. It was cold outside and the central heating was on inside. We still had 2 radiant heaters available, but we didn't need them at all. It's an older ship and there are stairs and small rooms, but that's exactly what made it so charming.

Great stay on the Jordaan Wheelhouse. Great location, minutes from the town centre. Boat clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay!
