Sailing ship description

This impressive 50 meter long ship with engine and auxiliary sail is a logger. She was originally built in 1928 as a freight ship, sailing the North sea, Atlantic and Baltic sea. During World War II this ship was used to as a balloon vessel, helping the Allied forces in Normandy. In 2012 she was fully renovated and turned into the amazing charter ship you see today. Being an impressive 50 meters long and almost 7 meters in width, this amazing ship can hold up to 50 people on day trips. Perfect for larger groups and company retreats.

On the deck of this unique ship you will find a seating area from which you can enjoy the sea, or you could join in the sailing of course. Below deck you will find the famous interior with marvelous timber work and many original details. There is a common room which you and your party can relax after a day sailing. You will also find a professional kitchen here with all the that you could need like, 6-pit stove, large oven, fridge and freezer. The ship offers 13 bedrooms: three 4-person cabins, four 3-person cabins and six 2-person cabins. There are four bathrooms and three toilets on the ship and each cabins has a sink.

The Great Belt can depart from both Amsterdam (on request) and (our home harbor).  can easily be reached by both car and public transport. It’s about half an hour away from Leeuwarden, the largest city in Friesland.

About the area

Harlingen is a town in Friesland right on the water. You can go see the defense structures in the city centre. You can also find many old structures like the original canals and warehouses here.

    Very suitable for smaller children. Plenty of space in the cabins, plenty of seating options outside, easy to operate sails.
