Rena houseboat and Rena summer house

Just returned from a wonderful week on Rena houseboat. If you crave peace and quiet, beautiful views and very comfortable accommodation, this is the place to go! The houseboat is finished and furnished in a most tasteful manner, with many artistic and imaginative touches, including an oar for hanging clothing on, unusual lighting, and many decorative "nautical" touches. Everything is provided to complete your holiday needs., including WiFi, TV, etc. As well as the houseboat itself, there is a garden with outdoor table and seating, and of course a large summerhouse fully equipped with beds, kitchenette and ensuite for a further two adults. So two couples can holiday together and still maintain a large degree of independence. All in all, an excellent holiday choice.

    Quirky, peaceful retreat.

Beautiful, quirky houseboat. We loved our short stay here. The location is perfect - so peaceful. The only passing traffic was a couple of paddle boarders. Fully equipped with everything you need. Very clean. Loved the quirky details - the oar used as a clothes rail. Would recommend as a place to fully relax and with that view every evening we didn’t turn the television on once.

Perfect short stay vacation at the end of lockdown!

Travelled as two couples at the end of lockdown, perfect accommodation having two independent units (the boathouse and the summerhouse), each with own toilet and shower facilities. The houseboat has the main kitchen equipped with everything you would need whilst the summerhouse has coffee/tea making facilities only (Tip - I suggest a little travel fridge/cool box for summerhouse – just to keep milk in if you don’t want to walk the couple of steps to the main houseboat). The style and decor of both units (and garden area) is modern and tasteful with quirky touches throughout (interesting hooks from some of the wooden beams made for much speculation). The beds and sofa are extremely comfortable, and the whole place is exceptionally clean. We especially enjoyed the morning sun, overlooking the water’s edge as we ate alfresco every morning & night. There are a few pubs/restaurant’s nearby, but we had everything we needed so did not go to any. We took a stroll one day up New Road and followed the footpath down to a lovely beach, we took our own boat, so the other days were spent exploring the water. (Tip - there is approx. 3/4 hours around high tide to get to and from the accommodation via the water). The owner is super commutative very quick to get back to you with any queries – overall we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
