Lodge in de plassen, kreken en haven van Loosdrecht

The lodge was in a nice spot in one of Weesp's canals. A canoe was provided to get to the lodge. It took a little getting used to, but actually it was no problem at all and we had a lot of fun! The boat traffic is very low, so it wasn't a problem that we didn't get off well with the canoe in the beginning.

The lodge was clean and tidy and from the small area in front of the entrance you had a wonderful view of the city, which we particularly liked in the evening. However, this is not suitable for everyone, as the lodge really only contains the essentials. The kitchen is a camping grill and a single sink and the toilet has no automatic flushing device and is only separated from the rest of the lodge by a curtain. Everything works fine, but maybe not for everyone. In conclusion, for an evening stay we had a wonderful view, duck babies up close at breakfast and a little canoe adventure. For several days it would be a little too little comfort for us.

We had a fantastic time on Erik’s houseboat/tent. Exactly as it says on the tin, all the essentials, in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed swimming in the lake so much, and starting each day with canoeing to the dock. Our stay was essentially like camping on a lake! If you’re after luxury then it’s probably not for you, but if you want a unique, fun stay, get a booking!
