Clipper Anthony - Anno 1898 - Sleeps 14

This is the chance to stay on one of the oldest still sailing ships of the famous 'brown fleet'. These old sailing ships were mostly used to transport sand, rocks and peat. Many of these clippers have been demolished in the course of time to be replaced by modern, fast motorized vessels. Fortunately, the Antony was restored to its former glory in 1982. Now she serves as a comfortable charter ship, where guests can experience what it’s like to be sailing on such a historic ship. In 1994 a second thorough restoration followed, in which all possible sanitary facilities were installed.

You will find a dinning area which can seat up to 18 people, here you can find a buffet. The ship also has a professional 6-pit stove, large oven, fridge an freezer. The ship contains eight bedrooms, four 4-person rooms and four 2-person rooms. There are both male and female bathrooms with sinks and showers. There are two toilets on the ship and a shower.

Sailing options 

With the historic sailing ship Anthony it’s possible to both book a day trip or a multiple day sailing trip. If you choose to book a day trip this vessel has a capacity of 25 people. When booking a multiple day cruise the capacity is 14. The departure port for this ship is either Amsterdam or Muiden. This can be discussed with the captain of the ship. You can go sailing the following waters: the IJsselmeer, Frisian Lakes, Markermeer, Waddenzee. A captain will steer the ship, so no sailing experience is required.
