Houseboat summary

Whether at the beach, on a lake as far as the eye can see or on the ocean, water has relaxing and calming properties. We all try to go on vacation as close as we possibly can to a body of water, to really be able to get away from it all.

If you want to be closer to a lake than you have ever been during your next stay and feel alone in the world, taking your rowboat to get to your cottage, exactly this experience is possible at our floating cottage on the Kiamika Reservoir (Red River).

Houseboat description

You will be able to get up every morning to the song of the loons and as soon as you set foot outside, it will be in a lake. If you're the type who likes to wake up to cold showers in the morning, this is definitely for you! Otherwise, hot water at will in cold weather my always outside.

Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, in the middle of nowhere, you will appreciate the tranquility of this magnificent place. As a couple or with your favorite group of friends, it will make for a memorable and special vacation.

And that with your autonomy your boat understood, for your fishing or landscape excursions it is possible to rent with engine.

Why should you book? Sleeping on the water... what could be a more original way to spend a unique holiday? Sunsets and sunrises are literally breathtaking.

How to get there

We will get in touch with you on how to get to the houseboat after you have booked.

About the area

Reservoir Kiamika is a large reservoir located in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is situated in the Kiamika River valley and is part of the Hydro-Québec network of reservoirs. The reservoir has a capacity of m3 and a surface area of 84 km2. It was created in 1975 by the construction of the Kiamika Dam.

The reservoir is a popular spot for fishing, camping, and canoeing. There are several fish species present in the reservoir, including bass, trout, and pike. The reservoir is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, moose, and bears.

The reservoir is located in a remote area and can only be accessed by a long gravel road. The road is often closed in the winter due to snow and ice.

If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from it all, Reservoir Kiamika is the perfect spot.
