Houseboat description

The perfect opportunity for groups to stay in the city centre on a very surprising and interesting ship: up to 8 persons can sleep on this historical sailing ship that is more then 100 years old. The ship is still sailing in summertimes!

The ship is well accommodated for big groups: two bathrooms and toilet area's.

It has a nice big living room which has a nautical atmosphere and is not luxurious but very cosy.

All rooms do have comfortable beds.

The ship is equipped with a good central heating system. so the boat can be rented in summer but also during winter times,

Just a great houseboat in Rotterdam - highly recommended

When visiting Rotterdam this autumn, we stayed at this classic sailing ship in Rotterdam. Although the vessel must be over 100 years of age, it was very convenient and comfortable. The atmosphere is just unique, and the idea of living on a boat in one of the biggest harbor cities of the world is great. And it was great: we loved every moment that we were aboard. And as soon as you get off board, there are lots of things to do in the neighborhood. Make sure to take the water taxi, what a ride!

Overall we really liked staying on this houseboat and we will certainly check out availability next time we visit Rotterdam!

    Really disappointing... Show original

What a disappointment to find on our arrival an almost unsanitary barge! First the gangway to access the extremely dangerous barge, held in place by rusty bars hung with simple ties and tape! Then on boarding the boat: totally unacceptable cleanliness: dirty kitchen towel on our arrival, microwave unusable, it was so disgusting, coffee maker not emptied, dishes to be rewashed on arrival, dirty toilets, cobwebs everywhere…. Then a succession of problems: wifi not working, clogged bathroom sink, leaky toilet, broken stove, also oven, completely uncomfortable bed, spiders everywhere, rotten slices of bread under the beds, and many other things… We had also been promised a Christmas decoration on the boat and nothing was there… sad decor for a Christmas with the family! We tried to contact the person responsible as soon as we noticed this but no one answered us. It is completely unacceptable. Really terribly disappointed!!!!

This Rotterdam houseboat really made our stay

We visited Rotterdam for a big event in the Ahoy and decided to stay on a houseboat. Well, we did not regret a single moment to have chosen Caspers wonderful ship. The location is perfect and easy to reach with public transport. The Markthal is around the corner, as well as some interesting museums (loved the Maritime museum). But we liked the houseboat itself the most. Very comfortable, nice kitchen and lots of atmosphere. Really special, and really recommended. Can not wait to visit this ship during the summer so we can chill out on the deck!
