The main houseboat at Mo's is the site of the first houseboat B&B in Yellowknife, the renowned "Yellowknife Bay Floating B&B", started in 2012. It hosted "the Amazing Race Canada" as one of its' clue stops, was touted in Maclean's Magazine as a 'must see', and was featured in "Extreme Houseboats" through the Travel Channel. European TV personality Alex Armstrong visited and filmed at this site as part of his ITV series called "Land of the Midnight Sun". The many exciting features of living on the water on a houseboat clearly makes Mo's Houseboat B&B a very unique and interesting way to spend your time in Yellowknife!
The new additional houseboat built in 2016, floats 30 yards from the main houseboat where the owner lives, so you will have help whenever you need it! Each of the two completely soundproofed, open concept rooms have airy vaulted ceilings and its own kitchen, complete with a large stovetop and a fridge. The beds have extra-warm down duvets to keep you toasty all night! The bathroom is equipped with a large shower, personal sink and easy-to-use, off-grid toilet. These spaces are very roomy for 2 people and have a super comfortable fold down couch for a 3rd/4th person. First class artwork from Yellowknife don the walls of this charming and newly built artsy, colourful living space. Get out on your private wrap around deck at your convenience and enjoy the northern lights show with your tripod and camera. You are provided with fresh and abundant ingredients for however many people, to make breakfast at your leisure.

Once at the Government Dock/Warf, you can get back to your car in moments or into your awaiting taxi. In winter, simply drive right onto the ice and park beside your room. I am an outgoing, adventurous artist and builder who loves to kayak, hike, just be outside, and to sit on my deck when the sun is shining, surrounded by shimmering water! I love travelling, meeting new people, and welcome those who are interested in living a truly unique lifestyle on my houseboats even for just a few days. Through my travels, I have welcomed many to my B&B and hope that you will be one of them!
