Bed on Sustainable Boat

Beautiful room inside a boat. Everything you need is there. Small bathroom, but well organized and the shower is really nice. The bed is big and super comfy. Easy communication with the owner, that is quick to answer. We had a little problem, fixed it without problems. 30/40 min walking from the center, but close to the bus/tram station. Really one if the best rooms we've had.

We stayed in the houseboat for two nights. Check-in went really well and Gijs was very hospitable. We even got two bikes so we could explore Amsterdam.

We would love to come back again :) An easy and short ride into the middle of Amsterdam, but far enough removed from the craziness for a peaceful night's sleep. The place was very clean, and the amenities were perfect for a short stay. We loved feeding the duckies. The bed was soooooo comfy, and the shower was good too. We didn't realize two bikes were available to use, but that would've made it even better. We were surprised my 6 foot 5 boyfriend was able to stand up with extra headspace, so that was a nice surprise haha. It was lovely to wake up to the water and ducks, and having a storage space to leave our bags in as we had a later flight helped us immensely. One of the best places I have ever stayed.

2 nights spent on the boat, everything was perfect: the welcome drinks, the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation, the calm of the neighborhood... In addition, 2 bikes loaned to ride around Amsterdam, we recommend this boat!!

I’m not used to giving the maximum rate in my reviews, but Gijs’ houseboat deserves it all! The room is exactly like the pictures shown, and what I appreciated most is the attention paid to details: Gijs really thought of everything when he built this room. Every little space is functional. Also, he left us some local beers in the fridge - what a good welcome! - and provided us with a couple of bicycles to visit the city. What can I say…I hope to come back here next time!
