Are you looking for a special overnight stay or a romantic  getaway for two people on the water?  Then quickly discover everything about this beautiful wellness boat within walking distance from Central Station & the UNESCO-protected historic center of Amsterdam. The boat is moored at a private marina, you can't sail with it & also not suited for children & Party's. Plesse note some space like the bedroom has a lower ceiling than normal (176cm) 

The eighborhood is very dynamic with a lots of hotspots on walking distance, like the canal & red light district, Anna Frank house, 9streets, Amsterdam central station & many restaurants /bars /shops.

Marina is located at A location next to hotel & restaurant /bar with bike rental & parking garage It's only 10 minutes walking distance from Central Station Amsterdam. 

Houseboat description

This special stay on the water has a warm Finnish sauna that you can heat up yourself, which is also easily turned into a cozy living/chill room for two. The spa space also provides a luxurious relax bed and a wonderful rain shower in the shape of a tree trunk. On the deck, you can relax in the sun loungers or chill in the comfortable hanging chair. For the swimmers & watersport lovers, there is a swimming deck with a staircase. When the weather is not so good, you can nestle yourself in a bathrobe on the lounge bed on the lower deck or lie down on the king-size bed & listen to the raindrops.

This old fishing cutter received a complete transformation in 2020; now it's transformed into a beautiful wellness boat & baptized with the name 'Private houseboat + wellness in historic Amsterdam'. The zen interior was designed with the use of natural and sustainable materials being central to create a relaxed atmosphere. A nice detail is the starwatching roof above the dining table, so you don't have to go on deck to enjoy the starry sky.

An additional plus is that it is also sustainable; the entire boat is self-sufficient, and an ingenious osmosis system from Austria ensures that this filtered water can be put in for daily use. Nice to know is that the wood in the boat is old sanded planks recycled from a cheese warehouse from Bodegraven, and the entire boat is very well insulated and heated with a central heating system during the coldest months.

City Marina IJdok is 10 minutes walking away  from the back entrance of central Station Amsterdam, Interparking IJdok is just next door for gast who travel by car. 

About the area

This harbor is located directly on the IJ in the city center of Amsterdam, Within 5 minutes you can walk from the harbor via the cozy Haarlemmerstraat (named the nicest shopping street in the Netherlands) towards the Jordaan or past the central station towards the Red Light District.  Although the harbor is located in the heart of Amsterdam, Bickerseiland is unusually quiet.  A cozy historic village residential area and yet in the bustling city center.

    Awesome place to stay in Amsterdam

    My girlfriend and I loved Vivian's houseboat really much. We couldn't think of a better place to spend NYE in Amsterdam. The marina is perfectly located to explore Amsterdam by feet and the interior is just stunning. The bed is absolutely cozy and the spa is just amazing. It feels unreal experiencing something like that on your own houseboat. One of the best accommodations to stay as a couple to relax and enjoy Amsterdam too the fullest. Highly recommended- definitely coming back to this gem :)

    Beautiful Unique Experience

    My boyfriend and I had a great time staying on this beautiful boat in May. Vivian was a great host, super friendly and helpful. The bed was so comfy and the sauna was a great addition. Would definitely stay again!

    Nice but not prime time

    Cute with an ideal location for easy access to sights and downtown Amsterdam. Host was very slow to respond to emails particularly regarding access to the vessel. Seemed like the host didn’t want others in the marina to know this was a rental as we were asked to tell any folks we engaged at the marine that we were “friends” with the host. This made the stay feel tenuous.

    Romantic get away

    Our visit to Amsterdam in this romantic and beautiful housboat was great! There is so much love and detail to the boat and to the decoration. Even the cold and wet days in January we've spend strolling through this beautiful city, we could warm up nicely in the private sauna. Vivian was a great host and a lovely person.
