The perfect romantic getaway, relax & enjoy the private sauna and home cinema. Options for Champagnes, rose leaves, chocolate and bites.

Some call it 'the loveboat'. (Others go for the ultimate relaxation with their best friend).

You'll stay on a recently renovated former cargo-vessel with a private mooring at the IJmeer of Amsterdam! Wanna go out? It's less than 15 minutes to central station by tram, it runs every six minutes and goes till 00.40.

Breakfast is served at bagels and beans.

Explore your stay

The perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing or even work! Our ship was originally built to transport cement powder in bulk all across the Netherlands, particularly through the Amstel River in the city of Amsterdam. After a two-year renovation, we converted the former cargo space into a spacious luxury home for ourselves and a beautiful luxury bed and breakfast! The bed and breakfast is situated in the front part of the ship and covers the whole front-side tank, a perfect place with a beautiful view over the lake.

The bed and breakfast features a sauna, bar with dishwasher and fridge, electrically adjustable beds, and Apple TV with Netflix and a projector. There are multiple take-away and delivery restaurants around the corner, including American, Surinamese, Indonesian, Thai, Italian, and Dutch foods. Please note that the B&B is NOT equipped with cooking facilities.

On the side, we have a small motorboat for rent, which you can take out for a ride on the lake! In the summer, of course, a swim is possible as well.

On request, 2 single person sofa beds can be put in place for a maximum of two additional guests or children; additional charges apply. A baby bed is available as well for free (please let us know in advance, so we can have everything set up upon your arrival).

Please bear in mind that we adhere to all rules and regulations to combat the coronavirus, including more intense cleaning of the place, and we do not allow visitors on board for our guests.

    Highly Recommended!

    First, I will say, be prepared for the narrow walkway and stairs you must traverse to get to the room. We weren't ready for this, and getting our luggage inside was a big chore. We also made use of the pull out beds, but they were so uncomfortable that we ended up using the couch instead. We also had problems with the toilet, as boat plumbing seems to be finicky. With those problems noted, why am I still giving 5 stars? Because the hosting was ASTOUNDING. Lianne was quick to respond, and when the issue with the toilet arose, she was so quick to act and help us out. She plied us with snacks and helped us experience the nightlife. She was friendly and everything you need in a host. We stayed in about five different places during our time in the Netherlands, and this was by far the best service. Our only regret was that we didn't spend more time here. The accommodation itself is clean and trendy, and the sauna was lovely. If you're looking for a houseboat experience, my whole family agrees that you have to give this one a try!

    Stay on the lovely boat for 4 Days

    Our stay was perfect, and Lianne was there for us the entire time, providing a fridge stocked to the brim every day, filled according to our preferences with a mix of homemade and Dutch treats. Even minor issues, such as a Wi-Fi outage, were resolved immediately. We always felt welcome and would highly recommend this host. For those who find access to the boat difficult, I would suggest traveling light or asking for assistance, I am sure the host family will find a solution. Upon departure, we were even allowed to store our suitcases temporarily, as we had an evening flight. Perfect stay, perfect days! Thanks so much, and lots of love from Lisa and Laura.

    Spacious, comfortable, and incredibly unique

    Lianne and Jeroen were amazing hosts! The houseboat is spacious, comfortable, and incredibly unique. The tram is a short walk and we were able to get into the city center easily. We loved coming back to watch movies on the projector and enjoy the sauna after a long day of exploring the city.
