Houseboat description
This comfortable houseboat stay provides a cozy stay in a unique location.
On your own private terrace on the front of the ship you have a tremendous view of the Skinny Bridge, the love bridge of Amsterdam. Legend goes if you kiss on top or under the bridge, you're tied together for life. It's not surprising we witness many wedding photo shoots, proposals and weddings. There is always something to see on the river or the bridge, while you're still in a calm location. However, cross the bridge and you'll find yourself in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
The apartment itself is down the stairs. It has a seating area with fridge and coffee and tea facilities, a shower cabin with a rain shower and a separate toilet. The bed is in a separate space and cozy and romantic with a tiny window looking out towards the bridge.

About the area
The Reinwater is located on the sunny side, the stroll side, of the Amstel river, to which Amsterdam owes it's name. The ship is tied to the city's most famous bridge: the Skinny Bridge.
Because we are on the 'stroll side' of the river there are no parked cars - only bikes of course. It is a quiet and residential area, you'll really be joining the locals enjoying their lives. Boats passing by with giggling people enjoying the canals, visitors admiring the architecture, the bridge and the view. Sometimes large barges pass by as this is still a connecting waterway. And then there are weddings and proposals which adds to the relaxed and loving energy in the area. Sometimes it even doesn't really feel like a city centre, if you're idea of a city is noisy and busy. A calm, quiet, cozy and comfortable retreat.
Cross the bridge and you'll immediately find yourself in the busier part of the city with its famous squares and museums. Enjoy lovely restaurants and indulge in the Dutchies' national favourite pastime: have a drink on a terrace and watch the world go by. When you stay at the Reinwater you'll have the option to go out for that, or stay home and enjoy your private terrace, where there is always something to see.
