Forecastle KL

Had a very comfortable stay on the boat. The hosts are absolutely delightful, the room is comfortable, and the area is nice. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay. The room on the houseboat is comfortable and Sofie was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the quaint, quiet neighborhood the houseboat is located in, with very easy access to the central city via tram & bus.

We had a very nice time in the houseboat Forecastle KL - very nice hosts - good location (by bike in 15 minutes to the central station and in the city) - free ferry to the north side of Amsterdam - very nice restaurant next door - bathing area for swimming next door - breakfast place on deck outside - bakery around the corner - supermarket 10 minutes by bike

We loved our stay on Sofie’s houseboat. The room itself was lovely, very clean and spacious, and with everything you need. The location is excellent; KSNM island is so quiet and peaceful, but with a nice selection of bars, restaurants, and nearby shops, as well as quick and easy connections into the centre of Amsterdam. Sofie herself was a lovely host, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

It was fun to stay on Sofie and her family’s boat in a really calm location outside of the city. I rented a cargo bike, for my 5-year-old daughter and me, and enjoyed the cycle in and out of the hustle and bustle. Our accommodation was warm and clean and had everything we needed. We went out in the morning sunshine to sit by the water, got breakfast in the bakery around the corner, and shopped in lovely grocery stores a few minutes away on the bike. For us it felt like an advantage to be in this quieter, interesting and beautiful setting. Sofie was lovely and happy to help! We recommend!
