Mira

Hi, I'm Mira, and I live with Harald in this beautiful spot on the Amstel River in Amsterdam. Fifteen years ago, I fell head over heels in love with this nostalgic houseboat steeped in history. I'd love for you to experience what it's like to live on the water. The feeling of freedom and the opportunity to jump into the water are elements I wouldn't want to miss in my life. I look forward to meeting you!

    Very enjoyable and cozy

This houseboat made our vacation very enjoyable and cozy. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, had restaurants and a metro station, and the grocery store was just over the bridge. We walked to central Amsterdam several times as we explored, though there are easy public transportation options.

The hosts were patient and responsive. Our train into Amsterdam was delayed twice, yet Harald waited to greet us and helped us get our luggage into the boat. They left snacks and wine for us, and fresh cut flowers.

The vibe of the houseboat felt relaxed, artistic, and unique, reflecting the personality of its owners. We appreciated things like original wood in the 125-year-old boat, skylights, eclectic furniture, different colors and textures in the décor, musical instruments, and plants. Entering and exiting via ladder added to the special experience. The bedroom was romantic, with a raised bed and built-in storage. This is the best experience we've ever had! So authentic!
