We love to share this private room with a large, comfortable double bed on our amazing houseboat, located close to the famous Jordaan Area and Westerpark. The large living room and modern kitchen are shared spaces.

Nicole lives on the houseboat as well and has her own quarter. She has a dog.

The room is located on our modern and newly built houseboat, just minutes away from the famous Jordaan area. The room has a comfortable kingsize bed and an en suite bathroom with a comfortable shower; the sink and toilet are in front of the room.

Apart from your private space, you can use our living room with floor heating and a fireplace, and our spacious modern kitchen. And last but not least, you can sit back and relax at our floating terrace and enjoy the water life passing by. The houseboat is built under architecture, resulting in a very light, bright, and spacious floating villa. The living room is also very comfortable, with a fireplace, a comfortable couch, and large windows giving a view over the water. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that a chef could ask for.

Location

Our houseboat is located a few minutes biking from the world-famous Jordaan area—a charming part of Amsterdam with great restaurants, bars, independent shops, and boutiques. Here you will also find the 'Negen Straatjes' (the Nine Little Streets) with its many small shops and restaurants. And what about the Haarlemmerdijk, rewarded as the Nicest Shopping Street in the Netherlands in 2011, just 10 minutes walking away? There is no better place to just stroll around and enjoy the city at its best.

Cultural Attractions

This part of Amsterdam also offers lots of culture. The Anne Frank House is located within walking distance, as well as the Westertoren (Wester Tower), Amsterdam Historic Museum, Dam Square, the Royal Palace, and Central Station.

Transport

You can easily reach us by car and public transport, and once you're checked in, there is no better way of transport than the good old bicycle. We're glad to say that we have good bike rentals available.

How to get there

From the airport you can take a train to central station (20 min). From there you can either walk (20 minutes), take a cab (approximately € 13) or take bus 21 (less than 10 minutes). 

How to take bus 21? When you arrive at Central Station, exit on the city side (main Exit). Take bus nr 21 and get off after 5 minutes at the stop “Kostverlorenkade". At a little square in front of a gym. Take the road left of this square and then walk towards the end until you see houseboats ( 300m) ten take a left to number 22 You are in front of our houseboat! 

When you decide to come by car. You can park your car almost always near the houseboat. However, Amsterdam is not very “car friendly" as the city charges rather high rates for parking. Alternatively, go to Park and Ride Amsterdam for cheaper parking options. The Park and Ride that is closest to us, is the “P+R Sloterdijk". The cost for Park and Ride is € 8 per day. They offer return tickets for public transport free of charge.

About the area

We live on the verge of the Jordaan area, a very lively and inspiring part of the city. Yet, you are ensured to have a great night rest since we're far away enough from tourist masses. So it is pretty much the best of both worlds.

    Lovely stay!

    Nicole’s houseboat is beautiful. Really cozy and great location. We rented two bikes from her and cycled around the area. Nicole was generous in giving us an upgrade in her room. We loved our stay and the long baths :) recommend this experience.

    Nicole’s houseboat is the stuff of DREAMS. As soon as I stepped in, I felt so comfortable and calm. The interiors are very well-designed, with a big kitchen and cozy living space. The bed in the bedroom is also so big and SO comfortable. Although… my favourite part has to be the deck right on the canal. Starting the morning with a coffee and ending the day with a smoke while looking out onto the water was perfect. Another family was staying there in the other rooms while we were, but the boat is so spacious, we barely ran into them. I can’t wait to stay here again next time I’m in Amsterdam! BEDANKT! 🇳🇱✨👏🏼💖
