The boat is in a prime location for watching boats float by. It’s in a great spot near a lot of nice restaurants; I would definitely recommend it.

This was a brilliant choice to stay on Maria’s houseboat for our first time in Amsterdam! Our host was friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The houseboat is beautiful, clean, and well equipped! We spent a warm afternoon enjoying the boats passing by with the windows open, and it was an excellent addition to our trip!

We, a couple from Berlin (55 and 56) have already made many city trips, but we have not yet had accommodation, such as with Mariela and her husband. A perfect houseboat apartment, small, super cozy, but with a wonderful view. The houseboat is super centrally located on the Oudeschans in front of a 5 star luxury hotel and you can see great canal houses from your bed. At the same time, the canal is wide enough so that the passing boats have a comfortable distance.

In the evening, with the large casement windows open, it is just wonderful to sit there and look. Happy with a glass of wine. We explored Amsterdam on foot, which works very well because the houseboat is centrally located. You can go shopping just around the corner in case the cold wine runs out. The interior is completely new, we were the second guests! Many thanks for the beautiful days Bettina and Thomas. We can only recommend the boat! PS: Especially under the adverse corona conditions in Amsterdam (as everywhere) it is great to be able to live so separated and yet in the middle of it.

The stay was delightful! Check-in and check-out were both on time. Our hostess provided needed info about the quarters, nearby grocery, and even phoned to arrange our taxi at departure. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
