We had a very good time at Roelie‘s House Boot. She picked us up at the Ferry and was very polite. The flat was very tidy and clean and there was everything you need in a B&B. For us, the highlight was the access to the canal through the window. You can literally take a swim out of bed. Also, we felt very comfortable with the sanitary installations and the bathroom in general, which is very roomy. The area is quiet and absolutely family friendly. You can reach the city center by taking a walk of ca 25mins plus the Ferry, which was absolutely OK for us. The location of the House Boat in Amsterdam North in general is an advantage since it brings you away from the crowded "main city" and it's busy energy (at least for us it felt that way). During our stay, Roelie was always reachable for us and our concerns. All in all, we recommend her place warmly to everyone who looks out for a well managend B&B on the outskirts of Amsterdam that offers you everything you need (plus a private "spot on the beach") for a relaxed city trip at an average price.

We booked a B&B room with a private landlord on a houseboat and that's exactly what we got. The peace and quiet in the morning and evening when we sat on the terrace was a relief in the middle of Amsterdam. The houseboat is located not far from the highway in a quiet residential area. There is a parking space for the car and storage space for bicycles/e-bikes. Furthermore, the houseboat is approx. 2.5 km away from the free ferry to Amsterdam HBF. There are plenty of restaurants and a grocery store at the ferry pier. If you want to get to the center of Amsterdam quickly and at the same time switch off and have peace and quiet, this is the right place for you.

The room is lovingly furnished and Roelie tried very hard to make us feel comfortable. Already on arrival we had breakfast for three days in the fridge and we were personally instructed in everything. The location was perfect for us. In about half an hour we were in the city center of Amsterdam by ferry, at night we felt like we were in the country because it was really super quiet. There is the possibility to sit on the jetty at the canal or to swim. Wonderful! In addition, the ferry dock at the NDSM is about 5 minutes away, where many cultural events take place and various artists are active. Very interesting! All in all it was a very nice short trip in a very lovingly furnished one-room apartment on Roelie's houseboat.

With my wife we stayed 5 days at Roelie. The place was charming and the beautiful setting the room was very good with all the necessary comfort. I particularly liked having breakfast available the day before: no schedule to keep, so late morning possible. It was hot during our stay and we found that the apartment kept the heat of the day well. So we slept with the window open. Roelie is very helpful, smiling and available. I highly recommend the place! If I had to point out one or two suggestions for improvement, I would suggest putting a mosquito net.
