The canal itself is calm and quiet in the evening.

This Romantic Houseboat is an antique boat converted in to a small but very comfortable apartment. The style of the house can only be described as uncluttered 'old Amsterdam' style. 

Located in the center everything can be walked from here, the boat is 15 min walk from central station.

Only five minutes walk from Dam Square, and 15 from Central Station. The boat is surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, bars, Rembrandt Square, Nieuwmarkt, Waterlooplein and markets (Waterlooplein) Amsterdam's Stopera (the principal opera house) are all in view from the apartment which means that even a spontaneous stroll through the neighborhood could turn most exiting.

As its a boat you get to see Amsterdam from a very unique perspective and truly enjoy the canals in a romantic way. Street musicians do choose to perform near the market (close to the boat) so it is possible you would find yourself waking up to the sound of violins.

The boat is 100 years old which means it’s antic, romantic and very quiet. It’s not a 5 star hotel room what makes it very cosy. There are also 2 cats on board. One off them is really famous:) police cat amsterdam … 

Feeding the ducks in the morning is really nice as well to do.

The boat is 100 years old and therefore not a five star hotel room. The boat has a lot of charm, a unique experience, romantic, and also nice and warm in winter. I live myself on the other side off the boat with my two cats... They are very famous check: police cat Amsterdam, you will also see more off the boat in their videos.

From the airport with a Uber 20 min or from the airport by train 20 min to central station, from central station it's 15 min walk to the boat.

About the area

Super nice friendly neighborhood on a quiet canal but directly around the corner there is lots to do. Nice streets with restaurants, bars, night clubs and shops.

    This was my second time on the boat, and I loved it again. Our daughter, who came with me this time, was also immediately captivated by the whole atmosphere of the accommodation. The location is perfect for exploring Amsterdam. And Lydia is absolutely adorable :) Not to forget Nimis, who looked after us and always greeted us in the mornings, and Boef, the"little mouse,"is so sweet too. I'd love to come back again.

    Warm and Cozy

    Our stay was short, but very quaint and comfortable. The boat is rustic, but we had everything we needed to be snug and cozy. The weather was too wet to enjoy the outside seating, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Will stay here again the next time we’re in Amsterdam.

    Lovley stay in a lovley City

    Lydia is one of the warmest people in Amsterdam, and the stay is a real relaxation in a bustling city. The two cats are cuddly and good captains. We will definitely be back.

    Lydia was a fantastic and generous host, who was lovely to chat with as well. She made the whole process easy. As for the houseboat, a real gem in the heart of Amsterdam but quiet enough to enjoy the company of your significant other. Highly recommend!

    Unforgettable moments on board!

    Staying on this houseboat was pure magic. It’s the perfect peaceful and romantic getaway in Amsterdam! The owner, Lydia, is a true force of nature, so energetic and welcoming that we felt at home instantly. The cats were the real stars of the show. We loved meeting Nimis, the one and only 'Police Cat' of Amsterdam. Watching him 'on duty' in his tiny vest is just priceless. He's a true local legend and so cuddly! We also fell in love with Boef, the sweetest kitten who completely stole our hearts. ❤️ If you want a unique stay with a warm soul and the best cats in town, this is it. We can’t wait to go back!
