This Romantic Houseboat is an antique boat converted in to a small but very comfortable apartment. The style of the house can only be described as uncluttered 'old Amsterdam' style.

Located in the center everything can be walked from here, the boat is 15 min walk from central station.

Only five minutes walk from Dam Square, and 15 from Central Station. The boat is surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, bars, Rembrandt Square, Nieuwmarkt, Waterlooplein and markets (Waterlooplein) Amsterdam's Stopera (the principal opera house) are all in view from the apartment which means that even a spontaneous stroll through the neighborhood could turn most exiting.

As its a boat you get to see Amsterdam from a very unique perspective and truly enjoy the canals in a romantic way. Street musicians do choose to perform near the market (close to the boat) so it is possible you would find yourself waking up to the sound of violins.

The boat is 100 years old which means it’s antic, romantic and very quiet. It’s not a 5 star hotel room what makes it very cosy. There are also 2 cats on board. One off them is really famous:) police cat amsterdam …

Feeding the ducks in the morning is really nice as well to do.

The boat is 100 years old and therefore not a five star hotel room. The boat has a lot of charm, a unique experience, romantic, and also nice and warm in winter. I live myself on the other side off the boat with my two cats... They are very famous check: police cat Amsterdam, you will also see more off the boat in their videos.

Super nice friendly neighborhood on a quiet canal but directly around the corner there is lots to do. Nice streets with restaurants, bars, night clubs and shops.

Romantic House Boat in Amsterdam
We had a FANTASTIC stay at Lydia's houseboat. Lydia was so gracious, helpful, friendly, informative and patient. Our first trip to Amsterdam, so getting around was new, but Lydia waited for us and welcomed us with a bottle of wine & snacks to enjoy on the boat's patio. The stay was fun & romantic. The area is awesome. The experience so realistic for the 100 year old way of life. Thanks Lydia!!

Romantic boat - the perfect stay!
Wow. What can we say about this exceptional experience except that we would definitely stay again if we returned to Amsterdam. This is a once-in-a-lifetime stay in the heart of Amsterdam. To be able to sit and watch the other canal boats go by in the late afternoon sunset, waving to the curious passers-by, and to then wake up with the city and the slow morning was everything we wanted from our stay. Lydia was such a friendly person who made us feel very welcome and provided some snacks and wine for us to enjoy the evening of our stay. We had little treats to throw for the famous Police Cat to catch, which brought a smile to everyone passing by. The boat interior was just as described, and we really valued staying in such an old and full-of-character boat. Everything from the bed nook to the portholes and the ladder climbing in and out of the cabin was just what we wanted. To take two steps off the boat and be 50 metres from amazing cafes and restaurants was such a cool feeling. It is in a nice and quiet section of the canals. We would recommend this to any couple looking for a unique but quintessentially Amsterdam experience. Amazing place

Lovely Stay on Romantic Houseboat
Lydia was a wonderful host. Stocked our suite with breakfast, beverages, cheese, snacks, and wine! The cat would come visit us sometimes, a nice bonus. Suite was clean and had everything we needed for our week-long stay. If you're looking to experience living on a canal boat, this boat is a great choice.
