Romantic boat

Lydia is a wonderful host and truly made us feel at home. She helped us get some local restaurant reservations, made sure our Romantic House Boat was in pristine condition, and welcomed us into the house boat world of Amsterdam! We had been on the move throughout Belgium and the Netherlands a lot and really just wanted to enjoy being on the water and watching the boats go by. This was perfect. The Police Cat, Nemis, came to greet us every morning, and passersby loved getting his photo. Even we felt like famous locals! This neighborhood is perfect, close to everything, extremely clean and safe. We would absolutely recommend this experience! The Doosleys.

Lydia's houseboat is always a fun stay. This is our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed both experiences in Amsterdam. The location is perfect for making the most of seeing the sights. A quiet neighbourhood with coffee shops, restaurants and a supermarket all nearby and the central train station an easy 20 minute walk. Lydia is a wonderful host, helpful with ideas and suggestions, generous with her time and easy to communicate with. For a different and unforgettable accommodation experience we would recommend the Romantic Houseboat.

Had the best time on Lydia’s boat.

This little boat was just as cute as it could be. Unfortunately, the night we stayed was very chilly and rainy/snowy so we didn’t get to enjoy sitting on the deck and watching the sights. The location is great and we enjoyed walking around even if we had to walk in the rain. Lydia, the owner, was super nice and her cat came over to welcome us as well. I would stay here again but would prefer warmer weather.

Meeting Lydia and her “security team” was delightful! The location is perfect, the boat is really comfortable and quirky. Nimis and Tommy made themselves right at home; the neighbourhood is really pretty with cute little gardens and very quiet. Treats and wine were very much appreciated, thank you Lydia! When in Amsterdam, we’d certainly return here!
