Amazing Waterfront Studio on the Amstel

The houseboat was exactly as pictured.  The extra touches added to the charm. It is in a perfect location, close to everything yet quiet and relaxing.  Fred's breakfasts were delicious and more than you could ask for.  Thanks you so much for making our stay in Amsterdam very special

You can only feel good in this wonderful houseboat. The extremely hospitable landlords, Ellen and Fred, ensure that nothing is left to be desired. You wake up and look out over the water. You cannot see inside from the outside, as an opaque film seals the entire window front. There is a refrigerator filled with common drinks, a kettle, a coffee machine and all the accessories you need to have coffee or tea in the morning. On request, you can also get an opulent breakfast with everything your stomach and heart desires and can enjoy it directly on the houseboat terrace. An awning protects against sun or rain. The beds are ultra comfortable. The bathroom is equipped with everything you need. Even cotton pads and ear swabs! I went on a private boat tour with Fred all over Amsterdam and he told me a lot of interesting things. You get into the boat directly from the houseboat terrace! Wonderful! I felt very well! All important sights can be reached in a short time by bike. Many thanks to the two lovely hosts Ellen and Fred! And also for the small gift! I would love to come back!

I had a wonderful stay at this Amazing Waterfront Studio. Although it says it's a studio, I think it will amply fit two people and their luggage. The setting was clean, artsy, welcoming, and definitely homey. I added the breakfast option, which was very substantial. I was even able to save some of by breakfast for later as mid-day snack or light lunch/dinner. Hosts were so pleasant and promptly responded to my emails. The location is safe and a 7-10 minute walk to train and bus lines. So it served as a perfect home base location for when I travelled to the neighboring cities. Would definitely stay there again and again.

The stay was wonderful in the cosy yet spacious one-room suite which is self-contained with plenty amenities like wifi, tv (with multiple channels), fridge. Ellen is accommodating to us checking in early. The location is within a short walking distance to tram stop and it only takes 30 mins to get to airport from there. More exciting is that we spotted a swan nest and a mother swan with her eggs! It was relaxing and wonderful to wake up to the canals and sporty Amsterdamers rowing early in the morning. 

We had a lovely time staying in this houseboat. It was very clean and we had great service from the hosts. It's close to town by metro or train. We found some very nice restaurants and groceries nearby. We highly recommend this for your stay in Amsterdam.
