Houseboat summary

Hospitality is one of my favorite words, and sharing the love for living on the water is my favorite activity. Be welcome aboard and enjoy the boutique room on our houseboat as the starting point of a great Amsterdam Experience.

We have lots of restaurants, bars and of course the famous IJ Brewery at walking distance.

Houseboat description

Our houseboat is located around the corner of the wonderful ancient windmill that is home to the local Brewery 't IJ, and the lovely daily market "Dappermarkt'. Good public transport connections make sure you can reach every corner in town in less than 30 minutes, and the city centre in about 10 minutes. More importantly: we're sure that you will start loving our part of Amsterdam from the moment you arrive. Undiscovered by the tourist masses and with lots of character.

Staying on our houseboat is an experience in itself. Watch the swans, ducks and geese swim by while you enjoy the reflection of the water dancing on the ceiling. And step outside on your private terrace to soak up the sun, reading a bit, or just do nothing at all... except enjoying the moment.

We have recently refurbished this room completely because I always want to offer a fresh and cutting edge accommodation with a high standard of comfort and luxury. The double bed is high quality, as well as the finishing of the rest of the space. Just have a look at the gallery and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have - always glad to help!

    Great houseboat with 'feel-good feeling'

The wonderful location on the water is just unique!  And you will have a true 'boat feeling' The houseboat is in the middle of Amsterdam and yet in a very quiet location with feel-good factor (ducks, geese ect.) The room was very stylish and has everything you need!

The owner of the houseboat was very accommodating, tea and coffee were available around the clock, even riflemen and slippers were ready, as well as a detailed description of the city with a plan.

Always happy to recommend again and warmest!

    Very great houseboat

We had a very great stay at Roberts houseboat. The houseboat is very comfortable and includes everything you need. It’s really near to the city and we could take the bikes from Robert too. Robert was very nice and had shown as everything we need to know.

Lovely studio on a quiet location, close to centre

An ideal place to get to know Amsterdam and feel the atmosphere of this city. It is a quiet neighborhood, owner Robert is a charming man, prepared our stay with the full 100% and was available 24 hours a day. He has bikes on site which makes it easy to explore, close to the bus and tram stop. You really get to feel the atmosphere of this city. Could not recommend more!

    Small but nice houseboat

The boat has everything you need for a few days in Amsterdam and is very centrally located, although the street of the houseboat is still very quiet. Even while it is not particularly large, there is still enough space through the terrace, and there is a kind of small courtyard facing the street for smoking. Even while you have a wonderful view over the water directly through the window and there is water under the terrace, you will not feel any swaying; in that regard, you don't have to worry about living on a boat. It was great that we could use bicycles belonging to the boat, so you are in the city center in about 10 minutes. The host is very friendly and open, helps with everything and was always available for questions.
