Captain Rembrandt

The boat has lots of character and is super quirky. We all absolutely loved it! The location is superb. Right in the middle of the city. Boat is clean and tidy. Couple of things to think about; there is no separate sink for teeth brushing, so that will have to happen in the ‘galley’ sink. No cooking facilities, but it has a microwave. The galley is small but convenient to prep yourself some sandwiches. The fridge is a good size. The beds are very comfortable and as you can expect from being in the centre of the city it’s a little noisy. The ceiling is low and the companion way to go down into the saloon is a little tricky if you are very tall, very old or have a stiff back. Besides all of these things. It is a fantastic place to stay and can’t recommend it enough to others. We will definitely come back! Bente did a great job looking after us and brought us a new coffee machine on a public holiday with a big smile. Absolutely 5 stars!

Our stay on the Captain Rembrandt was a lot of fun - quirky, clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, close to the old town and the roof terrace is great for feeling part of the canal community.  The friendly host lives on the boat but we had our own key for the holiday let (bow of the boat).  Shower good and beds comfortable (including the sofa bed).  No facilities for onboard catering but tea making and a microwave were handy.  Local stores and bars close by - we had a great time in this lively chill and vibrant city.

Everything was very uncomplicated. The boat is nice, the location is perfect to go shopping and exploring beautiful Amsterdam. Thank you for the pleasant stay, Anastasia and Vito

This place is amazing, all I can say is location, you're at the center of everything, the entire city is at your fingertips. That's not to mention the beautiful houseboat to enjoy it all from. The wheelhouse was a definitely cool place to hang out and the view is amazing for just watching the city go by. The host is great also, she had so much information to share and could really have you seeing places like a local, not to mention pointing us to a fantastic dinner!
