About the area
We live in a quiet part of town. Wide water, close to city center. The view of Hollands largest wooden windmill and amongst our neighbors is Amsterdam's most popular brewery "het IJ", a daily market (Dappermarkt) and the Artis Zoo.
There are also many ethnic shops and ' hip' restaurants& gin & tonic bars nearby. "Indische Buurt" which is known for it's turkish and maroccan markets and shops.
Tropenmuseum , Verzetsmuseum & Scheepvaart museum, Botanic garden
The nights are quiet here and when you are having your morning coffee/breakfast, you might get unexpected visits from a local swan family or a flock of ducks looking for some hand-outs.
Ahoy, we are Bop & Eef, the open minded crew on the Motor Vessel Ship ' Moed Overwint Alles'. We have a little boy called Sil Sailor.
Bop is the captain of this ship since 2008.
He puts lots of time, energy and love in his ship and rebuilt it with his own hands into a modern, luxurious houseboat with authentic details. We love to share our experience of living the good life on the water with you.
Bop is a photographer and Eef is a teacher former stewardess. We both travelled a lot and made many friends all over the world who often come to visit. So we are used to having guests and sharing.
We know Amsterdam and we love to give you tips about where to go and what to do when you visit Hollands capital.
We are looking forward to welcome you on board.

We had a great stay at Bop & Eves place. How can you beat staying on a houseboat in Amsterdam. The location was excellent and we really enjoyed trying out Bops suggestions in the neighborhood.

The perfect accommodation in a wonderful city
At the end of July we spent 14 days in the beautiful apartment on the houseboat of Eve and Bop and felt at home. The apartment has everything you need, even for a longer stay. The kitchen block contains everything for a breakfast and with an induction plate you can cook small meals. Jam, chocolate sprinkles, coffee capsules and tea are available. To welcome we found beer and sparkling wine in the fridge.
The over 100 years old freighter is located away from the center in a quiet area. We spent many evenings on deck watching the sunset and the passing ships. The center can be reached by bike in 10 minutes.
Eve and Bop are very warm and friendly hosts who always had good tips for us (restaurants nearby, excursions).

Relaxing charming perfect...
This cozy houseboat room is perfect. Incredibly relaxing sleep as the boat rocks almost imperatively. A little light rain also made it perfect. Mini kitchen outfitted for most things you might need, everything clean and quiet. Bop is a perfect host giving me a locals view to set up for exploring the city. It's a fantastic neighborhood to walk and explore and close to the museums and major touristy destinations. But getting lost in Amsterdam is the best. I highly recommend staying here in this comfy little houseboat room.
