Houseboat summary

Our mission is to provide you with the best possible houseboat experience and create everlasting memories. We do this by showing old-fashioned hospitality, serving a delicious European breakfast and offering free bicycles for you to use during your stay. You have access to the large wheelhouse with a view of our harbor and the apartment in the back of the ship. Although my husband and I live aboard the same ship, you probably won't even notice we're there during your stay. But if you have any questions, we are of course always there for you!

Houseboat description

When you arrive at our wharf you will notice that we are a real houseboat community. A wide variety of ships are docked here, and one of them will be your floating home. From the jetty you will board our ship, a former seaworthy vessel built in Hamburg to sail the Baltic Sea and which now serves as our floating home and bed & breakfast.

We personally welcome you on board and share useful information and answer all your questions. Time to discover the ship, starting with the wheelhouse, furnished with vintage furniture and a super cool captain's chair. Hard to resist not sitting here and feeling what it's like to be a real captain!

Now we descend via the stairs (which are steep, so not suitable for everyone) to the apartment. Here you will find the double bed on your right with portholes next to it. In the front of the ship is a single bed in case you are traveling with three or want to sleep separately. The bathroom is very ship-like: small but handy, with sink, shower and toilet.

There is a compact kitchenette with a sink, refrigerator, water cooker and coffee maker. The breakfast with croissants, meats, cheese, jam, yoghurt and fresh orange juice is included in the price and served to your front door every morning. Note that we do not offer cooking facilities, but who really has the desire to cook when there are so much great restaurants and bars nearby? Just walk onto the quay and you will find several wonderful places to eat and drink within minutes walking.

You have good access to the city, which makes our location attractive for guests who appreciate a good and quiet night's sleep, as well as the proximity to the city center. You can reach the old town within 10 to 15 minutes by bike and the connections with public transport are also excellent. The eastern part of the old town is about 15 minutes away and the western part takes about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on where you want to be.

Our neighborhood has just that little bit more, at least that's what we feel every day: wide views over the water, no tourist crowds and a real sense of connection with other people who live here. And last but not least I want to say that our waters are just perfect for swimming during the summer months. It's definitely clean and fresh, so don't forget to bring your swimsuit if you're honoring us with your visit!

I hope to have given you the best possible impression, but don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions - always happy to help!

PS maybe needless to say, but smoking or any kind of drugs or partying on board is not allowed. We have a good relationship with our neighbors and we want to keep it that way. Thanks for understanding!

    Fabulous accommodation and hosts

We had a lovely time on Coriene's boat, it was warm, cosy and practical, perfect for us 3. The breakfasts are a feast! And we enjoyed biking through Amsterdam, despite the strong winds and rain! Thank you so much Coriene and Casper. We will come back!

Super breakfast, nice place to eat, cycling into Amsterdam is an experience, and a boat trip on top of it. Also a wonderful memory for the kids.
