Our mission is to provide you with the best possible houseboat experience and create everlasting memories We do this by showing old-fashioned hospitality serving a delicious European breakfast and providing free bicycles for you to use during your stay You have access to the large wheelhouse with a view of our harbor and the apartment in the back of the ship Although my husband and I live aboard the same ship you probably won't even notice we're there during your stay But if you have any questions we are of course always there for you!
When you arrive at our wharf you will notice that we are a real houseboat community A wide variety of ships are docked here and one of them will be your floating home From the jetty you will board our ship a former seaworthy vessel built in Hamburg to build the Baltic Sea and which now serves as our floating home and bed & breakfast
We personally welcome you on board and share useful information and answer all your questions Time to discover the ship starting with the wheelhouse furnished with vintage furniture and a super cool captain's chair Hard to resist not sitting here and feeling what it's like to be a real captain!
Now we descend via the stairs (which are steep so not suitable for everyone) to the apartment Here you will find gates on your right hand In the front of the ship is a single bed in case you are traveling with three or want to sleep separately The bathroom is very ship-like: small but handy with sink shower and toilet
There is a compact kitchenette with a sink refrigerator kettle and coffee maker Breakfast of croissants cold cuts cheese jam yoghurt and fresh orange juice is included in the price and served to your front door every morning Please note that we do not provide cooking facilities but who really has the desire to cook when there are so many great restaurants and bars around? You just walk onto the quay and within a few minutes'walk you will find various delicious food and beverage outlets
You have good access to the city which makes our location attractive to receive good and quiet guests a good habit of the city center You can reach the old town within 10 to 15 minutes by bike and the connections with public transport are also excellent The old town part is about 15 minutes away and the part about 30 to 40 minutes depending on where you want to be
Our neighborhood has that little bit more we feel that every day: wide views over the water no tourist crowds and a real sense of connection with other people who live here And last but not least I want to say that our waters are just perfect for swimming during the summers It's definitely clean and fresh so don't forget to bring your swimsuit if you're honoring us with your visit!
I hope to have given you the best possible impression but not to ask if you have any questions - always happy to help!
PS maybe needless to say but smoking of any kind of drugs from parties on board is not allowed We have a good relationship with our neighbors and we want to keep it that way Thanks for understanding!

About the area
Modern architecture, old ships, wide views and the sense of freedom. That's what characterizes our neighborhood. Couldn't be better!
Absolutely wonderful stay on this houseboat! We were warmly welcomed, and were told to make ourselves at home, which was easy to do as everything was so comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat and having the bikes was a real bonus for us. Many thanks to Coriene and her husband. Highly recommend a stay there.

Best stay ever!
What better stay in Amsterdam then feeling the "Dutch" touch! Enjoying the experience of sitting in the helm of a houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam was so awesome. My perfect choice was with Coriene in an excellent location, comfortable, roomy, clean, complete sleeping quarters. Steps from 3 great restaurants and minutes from Amsterdam center.
Coriene and husband served a huge breakfast tray each morning with valuable info concerning the area and getting around and interesting places to see.
I plan on coming back for at least a week as nothing could surpass this experience, signed seasoned traveler...

Warm welcomeShow original
The reception and further support were very dedicated and cordial. The breakfast is plentiful and healthy. Some initiative is required for preparing the hot drinks. Shower and toilet form one unit. There is an entry point into the water right next to the ship. When the sun is shining there is an opportunity to chill on the deck of the ship. Although the ship is a bit out of the way, the connection to the city center by tram (line 7, stop about 5 minutes walk away) and bus line 65 (directly in front of the door) is very good and the Museum Island, for example, can be headed for immediately. After a stroll through the city, you can, back on board, recharge your batteries in a quiet environment with a constant breeze and escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. Bakery and restaurants can also be reached in a few minutes, as can the ferry terminal to the neighboring island. Ideal for a family of three, with a touch of adventure.
