Two-floor Family Houseboat with panoramic water views

We have designed and built our houseboat ourselves, only two years ago and thus created 'the perfect floating home'. It is moored in a tributary of the 'Noordzeekanaal', the 40 km long canal that connects Amsterdam with the North sea. You will see majestic cruise ships passing by frequently - always an impressive sight. On the other side of the houseboat, you have access to the garden, as well as the lake called 'Noorder IJ-plas'. Now let me tell you something more about our home.

Large living room with open kitchen

Our floating home consists of two levels. The top floor offers a living room of 73 sqm overlooking water on both sides and letting in lots of light thanks to the large windows. The open kitchen is a wonderful place to have breakfast and make new plans for the day and have a drink while preparing dinner in our fully equipped modern kitchen. On this floor, you also find a spacious hallway, toilet, and wardrobe.

Three bedrooms

The lower floor is where you will find the three bedrooms and two(!) spacious bathrooms. The master bedroom offers a large and high-quality double bed and the two other bedrooms are perfect for kids, offering three beds in total. 

10 Minutes from the NDSM-area

We live outside the city center and the hustle and bustle of the inner city. However, both Amsterdam and Zaandam are within reach with both public transport, bike, and car. We are glad to offer free parking in front of the door. This makes our houseboat the perfect place to stay if you don't want to explore only Amsterdam but also the variety of other cool things to see and in our region. Visit Zaandam, Haarlem, the famous windmills of the Zaanse Schans, and enjoy the wonderful natural reserve 'Het Twiske'. The buzzing NDSM-area in Amsterdam Noord is within 10 minutes driving distance by car and only 20 minutes by public transport. From here you can take the free ferry to Central Station.
