Explore the Canal du Midi with your family or friend. Our rental formula of boat and crew combined is the perfect answer for groups of 6 to 12 people! The barge is exclusively for you.

As you have no need to worry about steering, you are free to explore the Canal du Midi and its beautiful region with its typical little villages and its historical monuments.

Our barge offers you safety with comfort thanks to its specially designed 115m2. You will live on board and occupy the space as you would a gîte, free to organise your meals and your time as the fancy takes you. Of course, during your time on board, you will be able to try your hand at steering this traditional old commercial barge and at helping during manœuvres.

Privacy and Navigation

Our gîte formula for 6 to 12 people gives you the privacy you want, as you don't have to share with other passengers.

For 7 days / 6 nights of navigation, this specially adapted barge allows you the freedom to organise your stay as you choose.

Your barge glides along the canal every day, thanks to the crew who steer for you. You can participate alongside them and assist in the different maneuvers.

Your navigation timetable is fixed in advance, but can be modified in agreement with the crew.

We're old hands on the waterways, and we can give you help on how best to organise your holiday to enjoy it to the full, avoiding the pitfalls that novices often encounter, not forgetting all the tips that we can share with you!

The Crew

As part of their daily routine, the crew ensures that the boat is ready to cast off, informs the lock keepers of its itinerary, and declares its route to the V.N.F., as well as manoeuvring the lock gates and the footbridges.

On board, they are responsible for filling the water tanks, for checking there is sufficient gas and fuel, that the generator is in good working order, and for providing the energy required by the barge engine.

You don't have to bother with any of this, and, in your absence, we keep a close watch on the barge and all it contains.

The Deck

There is enough room outside on the deck to enjoy the sun and the amazing surroundings! The crew is very knowledgeable and will help and advise you throughout the cruise.

This stay was made between pure strangers (5) who became friends in a few moments thanks to the hospitality of the hosts, the comfort of the barge and the good meals served in group. It was also a very nice discovery of the Canal du midi and its history. This trip is to be done again!
