Houseboat summary
The beautiful houseboat with a natural design is located in the Green Heart, surrounded by polder landscapes and ponds. It is not possible to sail by boat, but that is not necessary in such a beautiful environment. Sunbathe all day on the swimming deck, take a dip from the swimming deck, steam in the wood-fired sauna or take a bike ride to the nearby villages.
Omega is furnished with natural materials that give the boat a luxurious look. The boat can be booked for two people, and is also equipped with one double bed. Look directly from your bed at the beautiful water or view the stars from the central room through the glass roof. Nothing is more romantic than a long day of relaxing together in the wood-fired sauna or under the rain shower.
With the help of a key box it is possible to enjoy your stay without contact. The boat is equipped with brochures about the area, and a manual about the boat. Free parking is available 100 meters away.

Unique to the Omega is the location in the middle of the Green Heart. Look out over the waterline of the Oude Rijn from the double bed. Waking up wonderfully with a coffee from the Nespresso machine on one of the sun loungers on the swimming deck and then a morning dive in the Oude Rijn. Then a bike ride through the beautiful nature.
There is also a luxurious bathroom that makes you feel like you are in a spa. There is a rain shower, a wood-fired sauna and a relaxation couch. All this with a luxurious interior. You would almost not want to leave the boat, which is of course no problem.
After a long day of nature, a homemade meal can be enjoyed in the full kitchen. In the evening there is time for Netflix games, because WiFi is available on the boat.

How to get there
The A12 is 5 minutes away from the boat. The station is a 15-minute walk away. The owner will provide further instructions on the route and address after booking.
About the area
Bodegraven is located in the middle of beautiful green forests and lakes. If you want to go out for a day, you can easily reach nice cities and villages such as Leiden, Amsterdam, Keukenhof, Volendam or Gouda. Directly on the boat is a cycling and walking route network.
There are brochures on the boat about all kinds of tourist spots or quiet walking areas.

The sea, rivers, lakes, streams: as soon as possible, we sprint straight to the nearest source of water we can find. Why? Because water has the ability to turn chaos into calm.
Sailing and being on the water typifies us and our family. Together we run an entertainment venue in the center of Bodegraven. A busy life, but with ease we let go of the hustle and bustle in nature and on the water.
We know from an early age: as soon as you set sail, the daily grind disappears. The wind in your hair, take a dip in natural water, dry in the sun, play games while the rain patters against the windows or watch the storm with a good glass of red wine.
You can experience nature to the full by the water: water relaxes.
We are ready for you
Sleeping on a boat is a new experience for many of our guests. Our boats are provided with extensive information. Our guests rate us highly. Due to our small-scale setup, we always guarantee a personal approach.
A malfunction or defect during your stay can occur. The technology in every ship is complex and largely self-sufficient. Unfortunately, a defect is not always foreseeable, despite careful maintenance. Although a defect is fortunately rare, we have always succeeded in solving it on the same day. As entrepreneurs, we can organize our time flexibly and, thanks to our experience, we often know how to solve the malfunction ourselves.

How it started…
The Gloria
When our company had to close in 2020 due to the corona measures, we decided that we would like to share our water experience with others. We started building the Gloria in the first lockdown. From completely old hull to self-sufficient boat. We did this ourselves with lots of love and with the whole family. After months of many jobs, our project was completed and the Gloria can show its beauty to our guests every day in all its glory.
The Omega
In the summer of 2020, our company was allowed to partially reopen. But we foresaw another big lockdown in the winter. Because sitting still doesn't suit us, we looked for a new project. It became the Omega. In 4 full sailing days from Groningen to Bodegraven. Well 300 kilometers and in the 90 bridges and locks. Armed with sleeping bags, lots of technology and water, we went on an adventure again with the whole family.
And indeed, another lock-down followed in the fall and we got our teeth into this old Viskotter. Full of wonderful ideas, we are converting this boat into a true wellness boat with a wood-fired sauna.
