Houseboat 'Non me quitte pas', is located on the water in a unique location on the edge of the picturesque Edam.
Explore your stay
Around the berth you will find everything you need to get away from it all. You can walk, cycle, sail or grab a terrace in the area. You can also sit on your own terrace, between the ducks, coots and the grebe family.
It is also fun for cycling enthusiasts. Within an hour of cycling along the Zeevangszeedijk you are already in Hoorn, our capital Amsterdam, or in the famous Beemsterpolderen. Cycle a little further and you will arrive in Alkmaar, which, like Edam, is a famous cheese city.
The fishing village 'Mooi Volendam', where you can enjoy the cozy restaurants on the dike on the IJsselmeer, is only 10 minutes by bike.
A bicycle rental is nearby as well as whisper boats to explore the city from the water. Also the beach pool or chilling out in a quiet spot on the IJsselmeer, everything is possible.
The Houseboat
The houseboat is comfortably furnished and fully equipped. In the living room you will find a lovely sitting area with television and internet. The kitchen has a dishwasher, kettle, fridge-freezer, combination microwave and four-burner stove. Through the patio doors you reach the floating terrace with a beautiful view.

How to get there
Edam is accessible from Purmerend via the N244. From Monnickendam and Hoorn from the N247. From Volendam via the Zuidpolderzeedijk, the Dijkgraaf de Ruijterlaan, the Dijkgraaf Poschlaan and the N517 / N247.
About the area
Edam and the surrounding area is known, among other things, for the cheese that is made here. The cheese market was revived in 1989. In summer (July and August) a tourist version of the cheese market is held every Wednesday between 10:30 and 12:30.
Monuments in the conservation area include:
- Grote or Sint-Nicolaaskerk from 1626, with 15th century play tower
- Kleine Kerk, with play tower
- Lutheran church, built between with fronts in Louis XIV style
- Town Hall, dating from the 15th century, restored in 1985
- Orphanage, restored in 1989.
- Damplein 8, oldest stone house in Edam
- Achterhaven 105, oldest (original) wooden house in the city
