There are 6 comfortable luxury cabins, each sleeping 2 passengers, which are en-suite with shower, basin and toilet. The cabins are large and airy with large sliding window doors as your boundary to the water. There are another 4 smaller pontoon en-suite cabins on the lowest deck with two port hole viewing windows. These cabins also have a small seating area, which is convertible for additional bedding for young children.

Imagine yourself watching elephants, black or white rhinos, giraffes, zebra's and crocodiles while relaxing on a luxurious houseboat. Enjoy the stunning scenery and soak up the sun while relaxing on the deck or in the spacious jacuzzi.
A stay on this boat offers also great opportunities for the fishing enthusiast since Lake Jozini is the perfect spot to catch tiger fish.
The small boats accompanying the main houseboat are excellent to move quietly along the water and spot countless birds in this birders paradise, which is the home of more than 400 species. During the early morning or the late afternoon, you might spot black or white rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, and bucks. And when you are moored in the gorge at night, it is possible that you will be surrounded by thousands of fireflies lighting up around you.
While we can't guarantee you that you will be fortunate enough to spot all of these fascinating animals, we can ensure you of an amazing and unforgettable holiday on our luxurious houseboat. On the upper deck, you will find a comfortable lounge, a bar, and a dining area. Watch the sun go down while sipping from an amazing cocktail and enjoy life the fullest.

How to get there
Your transfer departs from Jozini Tiger Lodge at approximately 14h00. Please arrive at Jozini Tiger Lodge from 12h00, if lunch has been reserved.
The closest airport is Mkuze Airport, located 29km from the Lodge.
Directions from Durban (this will take you about 3.5 hours by car):
Take the N2 freeway heading North (sign boards will indicate Stanger). Continue directly on the N2 passing Richards Bay, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe and Mkuze. After 10 km, you need to take a right turn towards Jozini. After you took the turn, continue for 19 km over the Lebombo Mountain Pass. As you enter Jozini, with the SAPS on the right, turn left onto gravel road. Travel a further 100m down this road until reaching the Jozini Tiger Lodge security checkpoint and gate.
Driving from Johannesburg (this will take you about 5.5 hours by car):
Take the N4 or N12 towards Witbank & Middleburg. Follow signs to the N11 heading to Hendrina & Ermelo. Follow signs to the N2 to Piet Retief & Pongola. From Pongola continue on the N2 towards Mkhuze, following the signs to Jozini. 10km before Mkhuze, a Jozini sign will be indicated. Turn left at the Jozini sign and continue for 19km over the Lebombo Mountain Pass. As you enter Jozini, with the SAPS on the right, turn left onto a gravel road.
Travel a further 100m down this road until reaching the Jozini Tiger Lodge security checkpoint and gate.
About the area
Lake Jozini is the 5th biggest dam in South Africa and the largest dam in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Lake Jozini is located in the stunning northern part of the province KwaZulu-Natal, on the western side of the Lebombo Mountain. The area is characterized by bushveld, wildlife, and subtropical climate. Furthermore, Lake Jozini is a protected breeding area for birds, mammals and fish. The most well-known fish is the Tiger Fish, followed by the Tilapia (Kurper), Barbel, Yellowfish, and Carp. The lake has become a hotspot for tiger fishing.
