Luxury 'viskotter' on UNESCO island with Fort

The sea, rivers, lakes, streams: as soon as possible, we sprint straight to the nearest source of water we can find. Why? Because water has the ability to turn chaos into calm.



Sailing and being on the water typifies us and our family. Together we run an entertainment venue in the center of Bodegraven. A busy life, but with ease we let go of the hustle and bustle in nature and on the water.



We know from an early age: as soon as you set sail, the daily grind disappears. The wind in your hair, take a dip in natural water, dry in the sun, play games while the rain patters against the windows or watch the storm with a good glass of red wine.



You can experience nature to the full by the water: water relaxes.



We are ready for you

Sleeping on a boat is a new experience for many of our guests. Our boats are provided with extensive information. Our guests rate us highly. Due to our small-scale setup, we always guarantee a personal approach.



A malfunction or defect during your stay can occur. The technology in every ship is complex and largely self-sufficient. Unfortunately, a defect is not always foreseeable, despite careful maintenance. Although a defect is fortunately rare, we have always succeeded in solving it on the same day. As entrepreneurs, we can organize our time flexibly and, thanks to our experience, we often know how to solve the malfunction ourselves.

How it started…

The Gloria

When our company had to close in 2020 due to the corona measures, we decided that we would like to share our water experience with others. We started building the Gloria in the first lockdown. From completely old hull to self-sufficient boat. We did this ourselves with lots of love and with the whole family. After months of many jobs, our project was completed and the Gloria can show its beauty to our guests every day in all its glory.



The Omega

In the summer of 2020, our company was allowed to partially reopen. But we foresaw another big lockdown in the winter. Because sitting still doesn't suit us, we looked for a new project. It became the Omega. In 4 full sailing days from Groningen to Bodegraven. Well 300 kilometers and in the 90 bridges and locks. Armed with sleeping bags, lots of technology and water, we went on an adventure again with the whole family.

And indeed, another lock-down followed in the fall and we got our teeth into this old Viskotter. Full of wonderful ideas, we are converting this boat into a true wellness boat with a wood-fired sauna.
