Houseboat summary

Welcome to 'Superior Tiny Loft Boat', the bigger brother of 'Tiny Loft Boat'. With over 28 sqm of floor space (excluding terrace and sun deck), it's perfect for those who want to enjoy a more spacious and luxurious vessel. This self driving houseboat is located on the Loosdrechtse Plassen, a calm and exquisite recreation area, nicely located around the corner of Amsterdam.

Houseboat description

The 'Superior Tiny Loft Boat' is designed for those who want it all: being on the water, enjoying the comfort of a modern apartment en yet being able to choose your own destiny. The boat is built on two large pontoons, equipped with one bow- and one stern thruster to ensure easy navigation and powered by an outboard engine. So, you are free to navigate on the Loosdrechtse Plassen and discover the beautiful surroundings of our lake district.

With a size of 28 sqm (excluding terrace and sun deck), this boat offers more space and comfort than the Tiny Loft Boat, also for rent on Bookahouseboat.com.

During your stay you have access to a comfortable living room with an extendable couch (160 x 200 cm), a master bedroom with comfortable king-size bed (180 x 200 cm), a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The ideal occupation is for 2-4 persons.

The boat is well insulated and equipped with a gas/central heating which ensures warm and cozy accommodation throughout the year.

It offers both: a calm place where you can listen to the call of nature on water and the proximity to Amsterdam, one of the hippest metropoles in the world (33 km/approx. 38 minutes driving distance to Amsterdam).

When sailing our lake district you can enjoy nature as well as a special form of freedom and adventure. Sit back and relax on the water level terrace, or go up and enjoy the panoramic view from the sun deck on the roof.

Thanks to the good sailing characteristics and performance, we guarantee easy and carefree navigation. This ensures an absolutely relaxing, unique and unforgettable experience.

Floating or sailing: up to you!

You can hire the boat for weekends, a midweek and/or a whole week or longer. It can be booked either floating or sailing.

On demand we will sail you to nearby places or islands where you are welcome to stay overnight and will be picked up the next morning and re-transferred to our harbor. The transfer cost is 60 EUR/hour and can be paid on arrival.

From June 1, 2019 onward you are welcome to take part in a 3-hour-sailing-course at a price of 90 EUR to give you practical and theoretical training. At the end of the course you will undergo a test, which, if passed, gives you permission to navigate our Boat. The costs of fuel will be calculated at the end of your trip.

Parking and Wi-Fi are included in the price.

The international airport of Amsterdam is just round the corner (33 km/approx. 38 minutes driving distance) with low cost flights from many European cities. From Schiphol you can easily continue your trip to Loosdrecht either by rental car or by train to Hilversum. From Hilversum you would take a taxi to Loosdrecht (8 km).

About the area

The Loosdrechtse Plassen belong to the Gemeente Wijdemeren and are situated right in the middle of the Netherlands, between Amsterdam and Utrecht. The area consists of a series of lakes spotted with nice little uninhabited islands that are only accessible by boat. Sailing to one of those islands, staying there overnight and enjoying the pure and unadulterated nature make your holidays an unforgettable experience.

Apart from enjoying relaxing moments in silence and contemplation, the place offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as canoeing, supping, waterboarding, windsurfing, water-skiing, fishing and ice skating and has excellent trails for hiking and cycling too. There is a 25-kilometer cycle route leading you along the waterfront and past typical dike villages such as Breukelen and Loenen an de Vecht. The hospitable locals along with the huge choice of gastronomic and cultural offers, certainly contribute their part to a fulfilled holiday.

In the Vuntus, the Ster and the Zuidelijke Kievitsbuurt area nature lovers can discover an extraordinary variety of birds and flora and fauna. Therefore, The Loosdrechtse Plassen is quite rightly referred to as “Water Garden”.

All around the Loosdrechtse Plassen you find excellent restaurants and cafes with good food and the typical warm, inviting dutch atmosphere. Many of them are very close to the water or right at the water’s edge and often have a jetty to moor smaller boats like sloops etc.

The area also offers a wide variety of museums, such as Kasteel Sypesteyn where you can admire the famous collection of historical porcelain, glass and silver, have a nice stroll in its gardens and a good cup of coffee afterwards. A candle-light dinner in its attached restaurant makes your day perfect.

A visit to Boekesteyn park in the 's-Graveland area is also sure to provide life-long memories with its beautiful country residence and the beautifully designed historic park with huge ancient trees and an amazing Rhododendronpark. The park management offers guided twilight park tours on a regular basis to observe the many owls which call this park their home. And on top of it all, you are also invited to play a round of golf on its attached picturesquely situated golf course.

Last but not least there are of course cultural events you should not miss such as the 2-day Loosdrecht Jazz Festival covering Classic as well as Soul and Funky Jazz.

In a nutshell, we are happy to welcome you to this unique balanced zone where people, animals and plants coexist in harmony.

Experience on the water Show original

Luxury on the water. Everything at hand. Superb view. A location. Special to have done once. AH and restaurants close by. Jan Willem is very nice. The boat was fairly clean. We thought it was too hot on the boat and went home a little earlier.

    A perfect weekend

We stayed on this wonderful houseboat during Pentecost, everything you need is available (including dishwasher and oven). The location of the houseboat and view of the lake from the terrace is stunning and driving the houseboat itself is an unforgettable experience! There are also many restaurants that we unfortunately could not visit due to Corona, but a supermarket is only a few minutes away by car. Thanks again to Jan, we will definitely be back!

    Really Nice!

We had a fantastic time on this houseboat!
It is very quiet and exclusive with a great view of the lake. The houseboat is clean and modern. You will find everything you need and if you have a question, the owner is immediately available. The environment is really nice and you can see water everywhere. It is possible to reach Amsterdam quickly both by train and car while you enjoy the relax and calm of the nature!
