Houseboat summary
The St-Antoine, a freighter barge built in 1929, is totally refurbished as a houseboat and accommodates up to nine persons. You can sleep in the authentic alcoves, but we made sure that you will experience a modern, comfortable night! The cooking happens on the large AGA stove. The ship is equipped with solar panels, an eco-friendly toilet, and a small wind mill. The St-Antoine is a proud, eco-friendly accommodation!
The organization behind the St Antoine is specialized in ecotourism and the historical surroundings of the location. We are very flexibel in arranging tours with regards to topics such as nature, WWI, and wildlife.
Houseboat description
The ship has a nice terrace, family rooms, and central heating. The rooms are non-smoking, but you can easily smoke outside on the terrace. There is also a bar conveniently located just near the ship! There is also the possibility to have a nice BBQ. Boats are available for rent, so you can explore the backwaters at your own pace. For an additional charge of 13,- per person (6 for children < 12), you can have an exceptional breakfast every morning. This breakfast has thee, coffee, milk, eggs, cheese, confiture, yoghurt, cereal, chocolate spread, butter cookies, and bread baked in our very own mill.
