A floating home offering everything you might expect from a high-end villa, but then with the benefits of staying on the water. Watch the swans, ducks and geese swim by while you enjoy an unforgettable time with your beloved ones, very close to the cities of Amsterdam and Utrecht.
The floating villa is best described as contemporary, light, bright, warm and characteristic. You will feel all the love the owners have put into it, achieving their goal: strive for the ultimate houseboat experience.
Note that our lovely cat will be there during your stay. She won't bother you at all, unless you're allergic.
A huge and very well equipped modern kitchen is the heart of the houseboat, the perfect place to start another great day. It has a wood stove for chilly or colder periods. The living room has a comfortable couch and a fire place that ensures a great atmosphere - even during the coldest winter nights. And even without lighting the fire place the boat is comfortably warm all year round thanks to floor heating.
The boat offers 160 square meters, over two floors. The large windows create a very light and bright experience. On one side you will enjoy a wonderful view on the river and beautiful sunsets. On the other side there is a 900 sqm garden with several terraces, fruit trees, including a wonderful veranda with another wood stove and electric heaters.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with a bath, a rain shower, a double sink and a separate toilet.
There are two more bedrooms and a separate bathroom with a rain shower, sink and toilet. A third toilet is found at the entrance.
In the extra room on the top floor, the white couch can be adjusted to a sleeping couch.
In the village of Nederhorst den Berg you will find a super market, a bakery, butcher and flower shop. And two restaurants. Places nearby to do more extensive shopping are Weesp and Bussum. Amsterdam and Utrecht are only 20 - 25 minutes by car.
Staying in our house boat becomes more convenient having a car at your disposal. We do offer you several bikes. The nearest train station is found in Weesp, appr. 12 minutes by car. Included are several bikes and a small motorized fisherboat to enjoy the most beautiful river of the Netherlands.
The area is known for its beautiful nature, lots of water and little beaches, old mansions and woods to wander.
We hope to have given you the best possible impression of our houseboat, but don't hesitate to contact us when you have any questions. Look forward to welcome you aboard!

A week with friends around houseboat Show originalShow original
The 7 of us spent a great week in Jacqueline and Wouter's houseboat. Although the weather could have been a bit better, we enjoyed this cozy houseboat. The tranquility, the view on the Vecht, the beautiful garden with the cool veranda, everything is just great. Everything you need was there in the house and in the garden. We were allowed to use the bicycles to explore the beautiful area. Small Beemol, the sofa beds converted into beds had mattresses that were too hard. Especially in the basement there could be a real bed, which would improve sleeping considerably.

Superb floating home near Amsterdam
This is the third time we visited Amsterdam, but this time we did not want to be in the city centre since it has become increasingly busy over the last few years. Yet we wanted to visit the renovated Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum - a must do when in The Netherlands. Therefore we chose to stay on a location near Amsterdam, but with a more green touch to it. When we saw this super large houseboat we were mesmerized right away. And after arriving there, this feeling only got stronger. How much love was put into the interior, how amazing is the garden and how great the views over the water. I can imagine living here must feel like floating around in heaven - literally. Take your chance when you're able to stay on this houseboat. You won't regret it if you appreciate beauty and tranquillity.

In reality, the houseboat and the garden around it are more beautiful than the pictures! We had a wonderful time there with our friends - swimming in the canal, day trip to Weesp, grilling and chilling out. Jacqueline and Wouter are fantastic hosts. We would always recommend this houseboat! Thanks a ton :)

Simply amazing houseboat experience in nature
We have been so lucky to stay on the boat of Jacqueline this February. The first warm sun beams were very welcome after a long winter, and reflected wonderfully, dancing on the ceiling. It was a real pleasure to sit outside in the garden and I can imaging this is pure heaven during the summer months. Amsterdam is pretty much around the corner (only a 20 minute ride by car, easy and cheap to park in the P+R) so visiting this wonderful city is super easy. And also the rest of The Netherlands is very easy to reach during your stay on this houseboat. And what a houseboat it is: super spacious, very nice and warmly decorated with lots of natural materials and vintage furniture. Just loved every minute of our stay and hope that this floating home will be available during our next visit to 'Holland'. Thanks Jacqueline, your hospitality is well appreciated!
