On one side, the North Sea coast stretches out, while on the other, the dikes with Volendam and Marken create a postcard-worthy view.

Life here embraces the seasons; summer invites tranquil boat trips, autumn is perfect for walks in the Wormer and Jisperveld nature reserves, and in winter, the frozen canals await the first skaters for a magical ice-skating experience. When spring arrives, the view from the water villa transforms into a lively spectacle of playful lambs in lush green meadows, with each window offering a unique ‘room with a view’ feeling.

Spread over two floors (each 20 x 6 meters) this water villa provides a truly distinctive lifestyle. On the ground floor, you can relax on the sofa with a breathtaking view, so close that you almost eye to eye with passing ducks. The upper floor features large windows overlooking the vast Dutch polder landscape. With a spacious living room, a modern kitchen, a master bedroom with a terrace and bathtub, and several other sleeping areas, this water villa has everything for an exclusive stay.

The interior exudes an authentic Dutch atmosphere, with Delft blue wallpaper and antique Dutch plates adorning the walls, a tribute to the country rich heritage, despite the watervilla being only four years old. The large kitchen radiates warmth with traditional Frisian white tiles, while the presence of two wooden box beds adds a nostalgic touch to the modern elegance.     Our group of six spent a whole weekend visiting this beautiful waterfront villa. The rooms are very modern and comfortably furnished, making it easy to feel at home. Perfect for relaxing, but also for visiting Amsterdam. Communication with Erwin was excellent. We would definitely come back!

    We had a fantastic holiday in The Amazing Watervilla! Erwin and Eleanore were brilliant and very attentive hosts. The houseboat itself was absolutely stunning with lots of quirky decorations and many lovely personal touches that were very homely.  The Watervilla had everything we needed for our stay and was incredibly comfortable with plenty of room and different spaces for everyone to enjoy.  We loved wild swimming in the river from the boat! The location itself was idyllic; surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots of wildlife, it was very tranquil and the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 

    The nearest larger town of Wormerveer was very easy to access (about a 15 minute drive) and had all the shops we needed.  The self-drive boat hire from the local marina was a fantastic way to explore the local area, including the super windmills at Zaandam.  Within 30 minutes we were also able to explore Edam and Amsterdam and a little further afield the incredible models at Madurodam and the traditional town of Delft.

    Truly an amazing stay!

    What a place! We loved the location in the countryside. Our drives were so wonderful! Spending the evenings at the house was magical as was waking up and watching the neighbors sheep, boats going by, bicyclists etc, we enjoyed the included bikes too. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!!

    The perfect Dutch Experience!

    What a cute and amazing place to stay! Even though it was winter, the atmosphere was great. Surrounded by water, farms, bicycles; basically everything Dutch! The accommodation was very comfortable and pretty. We would love to return one day in the summer, and enjoy the weather some more!
