How to get there
A4 from The Hague: exit Roelofarendsveen, 3/4 roundabout, follow Rijpwetering at the next 2 roundabouts, follow Ripselaan and immediately after the road narrows turn right into Poeldijk. At the first mill, turn left through the barrier and park on the site. Houseboat is the third houseboat from the mill.
A4 from Amsterdam: after Schiphol follow direction Rotterdam. After the aqueduct in Rijpwetering and then roundabouts 2x as described above.
About the area
The houseboat is located in the Green Heart and yet close to Amsterdam (30 km) Leiden (7 km) and The Hague (35 km). Everything can also be reached by boat. The old inn 'De vergulde Vos' still exists and offers excellent daily specials. Several good restaurants on Kaageiland (15 minutes by boat). Cheese farms & orchards abound.

In 1995 we bought an old dream from my wife: an old houseboat. 11 years ago we have built a beautiful new boat with all the conveniences. Children, grandchildren and ourselves make extensive and grateful use of it. Sometimes the boat is not used by us for a few weeks in the summer and we are happy to rent out our beautiful place.
