If you are looking for a holiday full of peace and water; search no further! This charming double-decker houseboat on the Kagerplassen is absolutely charming. The object to be rented consists of a two-storey houseboat, a separate cottage on the shore, a lovely garden and a gazebo to relax in under cover. The sunsets from the terrace are breathtaking.

Houseboat description

The houseboat and house ashore can accommodate up to six people (4 adults and 2 children). Two can sleep in the houseboat (one bedroom with a double bed), and four in the separate (small) house (1 double bed, 1 bunk bed).

There are also two toilets (one on the boat and one in the house), two showers (one on the boat and one in the house), a bathtub and also a hot shower outside! It is also possible to set up an extra tent in the garden. Children often find this very exciting! When or on the water, small children must wear a life jacket.

There is also a subboard (all-round) available. You can also moor your own boat, but we have to discuss that first! - A larger family sailing boat can be rented at an additional cost (Randmeer, maximum capacity 6 people!).

The garden (15x20m) is completely secluded and private. You can relax on the two terraces, one in the garden, the other on the water from the houseboat. Sunlight reaches these terraces all day long! The garden is suitable for activities such as football, badminton, petanque. Several family games are available in the houseboat.

    Houseboat Stay

    Surrounded by windmills, fields, water and sheep, we had a lovely time on Maud's houseboat. We felt in a home away from home. Please note that you transfer your luggage via wheelbarrow to the houseboat from the car park - which makes the stay even more unique as you really are in the middle of the countryside. The houseboat is very relaxing and the sunsets are amazing - even nicer with a glass of wine in hand. I would highly recommend for the summer so you can really enjoy the warm days and time to relax as it is a very peaceful place. Huge thanks to Maud for letting us stay

    A real taste of Holland!

    If you really want to feel the daily Dutch way of life, please rent this houseboat! It is a very kind place with all the comfort you need, with an amazing view of the river. The garden is great with flowers and there are boats to discover the area. This place is perfect to stay with your family!

    A good cycling and boating base!

    The Doubledeck Boat de Kaag is very well-equipped and spacious for six people (however I doubt it will be comfortable enough for 8...). We had an amazing time. We rented bicycles and discovered the Keukenhof, the beach at Katwijk, and the Space eXpo. We couldn't really swim or sunbathe due to the temperature, but it was great for hiking and cycling!
