Loftboat Kralingen is a classic ferry (1911). The boat was completely renovated, but is still very much a boat. The comfortable boat apartment is in the front side of the boat and measures 55 m2. It has a private entrance, a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with shower and a sunny deck terrace (55m2), with a view on the river Meuse and the Rotterdam skyline. There is room for max. 6 persons.
The apartment consists of a salon with kitchen, separate bedroom with double bed and bathroom with washbasin and toilet. The salon is flooded with natural daylight; there is a dinner table with chairs as well as a workplace with WIFI connection, cable TV, DVD player with DVD’s. In the centre of the apartment is an extra woodstove (chopped wood is present). In the salon 2 comfortable sofa beds can be turned into 2 double beds. All the rooms have central heating.
The deck terrace
The furnished deck terrace (50m2) is completely at your disposal. The deck chairs and tables are waiting for you to enjoy the sunshine and fantastic view on the busy river. At high tide you can see the Rotterdam skyline and when the weather is fine, a beautiful sundown every night.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, cooking plates, toaster, pans, plates, cutlery, cups, glasses and a washing machine. Plus: herbs, a little oven, a coffee machine and a water cooker, coffee and tea, as well as cleaning gear and towels.
You can sleep comfortably in the separate bedroom with double bed in the front of the ship. There are cupboards with room to put your luggage. Together with the sofa beds in the salon you can easily create a total of 6 sleeping places.
The en suite bathroom has central heating and contains a shower, a washbasin and toilet. Towels and soap are present.
How to get there

About the area
The ship is moored in the harbour of the former Rotterdam water company, right next to its monumental watertower. The area is called De Esch, Rotterdam Kralingen. At walking distance (2 minutes) there is a shopping centre with a supermarket, cafe Tomtom and restaurant De Watertoren (in the watertower). The tram to the city centre stops very nearby. You can also take a (very fast) Watertaxi to the city centre, it stops next to the ship. Also in the area nearby are Erasmus University, business centre Rivium, Arboretum Trompenburg and a nature walking path along the New Meuse. The area De Esch used to be the location where water from the Meuse was filtered and purified for drinking. Around the old industrial buildings a modern residential area was built.
Hello I’m Eric! I’ve lived in Rotterdam for a long time and I love this harbour city. Just like water, Rotterdam keeps moving and changing. In other words, Rotterdam keeps getting better! I can tell you everything about Rotterdam and its attractions.
I love to travel myself, preferably to harbour places. The liveliness in these harbour towns gives me energy. Travelling has inspired me to start my own bed and breakfast, of course, on a boat.
I own 2 classic boats, that have been renovated in authentic nautical style. While being authentic, the boats also offer modern luxury like nice warm showers, central heating, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable beds.

You will not find a nicer houseboat in Rotterdam Show originalWhen reading all the messages in this guestbook, the soul of your floating house comes out nicely: In this wonderfully warm place where wind and water splash and crack you never really want to get out. Plans to visit the city are quickly put away or stoked in the stove. We have lived, floated, made love and ate wonderfully here and would love to come back again. You can be proud; you've turned an old ferry into a place where people feel at home. We felt that too. Thank you!Show original

A pearl on the Maas! Show originalFirst of all, thank you for your hospitality and the fantastic stay over the past 4 days. What a wonderful ship and a restful location. My 43rd birthday was a success for that alone! Compliments for the atmosphere and the character you have returned to the Logeerboot. You have built a ship into a historic monument and a livable residence with the typical maritime character. We will come back soon, because as a Rotterdammer I can rightly confess: You have a pearl on the Maas!Show original
