Houseboat description
The Rothor was built in Amsterdam in 1929. This lovely boat is as cozy as it gets! There is room for 4 guests. In the salon is a complete kitchen with pans and pots, cups and saucers and an electric cooker. You can make coffee and tea or a full breakfast. Supermarkets are nearby. Doors open to the back terrace of the boat where you can sit and have a drink comfortably. In front of the boat is a bedroom with double bed and toilet and bathroom. In the salon a comfortable sofa-bed can in no time be turned into a double bed. Easy access to the boat, it is located next to a wide pontoon, with lots of plants. The pontoon serves as a dock for the Rothor and the , another classic boat.

How to get there
From Rotterdam Centraal train station you can take tram 21 of 24, direction De Esch. Stop at Blaak station and walk in the direction of Old Port (Oude Haven). The boat is visible from the green bridge.
About the area
The Rothor is located in the city center, close to Old Port, which is full of restaurants. Cube Houses and the Markthal are within walking distance. Almost all the interesting areas of Rotterdam are at walking distance.
Bikes can be rented close by. The Old Port and Haringvliet are part of the old harbours of Rotterdam. It has been the nautical center of the city since the Middle Ages. Now it is a lively area with high rise buildings, offices, old and new blended together. There are lots of restaurants, the open-air market (Tuesday and Saturday) and of course, classic ships are moored in the harbour. It is like a village on the water.
