The Houseboat is a lovely classic boat suitable for 4 persons. It's located in the center of Rotterdam. Easy gangway, panoramic view from the boat and fully equipped kitchen and deck terrace. Be the captain on your own boat!
The Houseboat was built in Amsterdam in 1929. This lovely boat is as cozy as it gets! There is room for 4 guests. In the salon is a complete kitchen with pans and pots, cups and saucers and an electric cooker. You can make coffee and tea or a full breakfast. Supermarkets are nearby. Doors open to the back terrace of the boat where you can sit and have a drink comfortably. In front of the boat is a bedroom with double bed and toilet and bathroom. In the salon a comfortable sofa-bed can in no time be turned into a double bed. Easy access to the boat, it is located next to a wide pontoon, with lots of plants. The pontoon serves as a dock for the Houseboat and the Animathor, another classic boat.

About the area
The Houseboat is located in the city center, close to Old Port, which is full of restaurants. Cube Houses and the Markthal are within walking distance. Almost all the interesting areas of Rotterdam are at walking distance.
Bikes can be rented close by. The Old Port and Haringvliet are part of the old harbours of Rotterdam. It has been the nautical center of the city since the Middle Ages. Now it is a lively area with high rise buildings, offices, old and new blended together. There are lots of restaurants, the open-air market (Tuesday and Saturday) and of course, classic ships are moored in the harbour. It is like a village on the water.
Hello I’m Eric! I’ve lived in Rotterdam for a long time and I love this harbour city. Just like water, Rotterdam keeps moving and changing. In other words, Rotterdam keeps getting better! I can tell you everything about Rotterdam and its attractions.
I love to travel myself, preferably to harbour places. The liveliness in these harbour towns gives me energy. Travelling has inspired me to start my own bed and breakfast, of course, on a boat.
I own 2 classic boats, that have been renovated in authentic nautical style. While being authentic, the boats also offer modern luxury like nice warm showers, central heating, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable beds.
