FYIOur beautiful houseboat or floating house, consists of 2 levels. The top level is the living area with lots of windows and stunning views looking onto the garden and the river Vecht. The lower level consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 singles and if preferred we can turn one of the singles into a double bed.

This is a holiday paradise for nature lovers, water lovers and boat lovers. It is beautiful both in the summer and winter months, due to it's proximity to nature. Chill in the lounge or on the deck and watch the leisure boats sail by on the river. Sit in the garden and enjoy the flowers and bird life, while listening to the sounds of the nearby sheep and horses. Put on the gas bbq or the indoor fireplace, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun set from the deck overlooking the river. Dive into the river to cool off or float on a blow up flamingo. Wake up early and watch the sun rise over the river, also a magical experience. It is also beautiful to observe the river and surrounding nature in the Fall and Winter seasons.

Ride a bicycle or drive to the local train station and hop on a quick train to the center of Amsterdam (20 minutes) Explore the area around Weesp on foot or by bicycle. Rent an electric boat in the little historic town of Weesp and spend the day on the water.

From the train station in Weesp it is an 8 minute (taxi) drive or 12-15 minute bike ride to the houseboat. You can hire bicycles at the station.

Also a bus leaves once an hour from the train station, plus you'll have a 5 min walk. Or just walk 35 min from the Weesp station to the housbeoat.

It is a 20 to 25 min drive from Amsterdam or Schiphol Airport.

We have free off-street parking. 

It feels like the countryside, but we live in a town. Our houseboat is on a quiet lane, with the river on one side and green fields with sheep, cows and horses on the other side. Left and right are our neighbor's houseboats. 

There are windmills and a fortress that you can visit in the area. In town, you'll find 3 supermarkets, a fruit and vegetable market on Tuesdays, some clothing stores, a Hema and lots of bars and good restaurants. It is a few minutes drive by car or 10 min by bike, reached by a lovely road which runs parallel to the river Vecht. 

The center of Weesp town is quaint, historic and charming.

It is best to have a car or bicycles to reach the houseboat, as the bus runs only once an hour.
