The houseboat is located just outside the center of Weesp, a small historic town with two forts, which were once part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. Weesp has plenty of options for groceries, shopping, and there are plenty of cozy terraces and fine restaurants.

A few kilometers further is Muiden, and Slot Muiden (Amsterdam Castle) and Amsterdam is also super close by car or train.

The houseboat has two floors. Immediately after the entrance with toilet and coat rack) is an open living floor with kitchen, dining table and sitting / TV area. Downstairs are the 4 bedrooms and games room (with large sofa bed).

The beautiful kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances including an induction hob, Quooker, American fridge freezer and oven microwave. The kitchen is equipped with all the equipment you could need for spectacular or simple cooking. 

The sitting area with large television and Sonos sound equipment (wow! that can be really loud, but preferably not too long and too late because the sound carries far and therefore the neighbors are more bothered than you think...) is perfect for a large group and families in particular. Watch a movie via the Netflix or Disney account.

The lower floor is mostly submerged and has natural light from the windows at the top. The main bedroom has a double bed. There are also two bedrooms with a queen-size bed (1.40m) and a bedroom with two single beds. A further sofa bed and a second wide-screen TV are available in the very spacious games room. There is also some basic fitness equipment such as weights, bench and mat.

If the temperatures outside rise, it can also get quite warm inside due to the large windows that make the view so beautiful. The large sliding doors then provide wonderful cooling. The downstairs bedrooms already have the natural cooling of the water. And if the weather is less shiny? Relax on the beanbags in the covered 'stand' above with the soothing and romantic view. Even when it rains, you are comfortable there.

The WiFi is state of the art. The houseboat is energy neutral due to the 28 modern solar panels and the heat pump that extracts the heat from the surface water. The area is blessed with a low crime rate and there is a state of the art security system with smoke screen, cameras, patrol cars and control room. So you feel optimally safe with your own key.

In the spacious garden a seating area with large parasol and covered gas barbecue. In addition, an outdoor fireplace for fun (feel free to use the available firewood). The water of the Vecht is wonderful for swimming, playing or fishing. There is also a board and 2 SUP's to explore the river.

Guest access
The location is easily accessible by car. You can park close to the hedge or about 100 meters away at a public car park, all for free.
If you need a bike, let us know and we can contact an excellent bike shop in Weesp. Weesp station is also a train junction, making the town easily accessible from all major cities in the area and Schiphol (and vice versa of course).

Other things to consider 
This is our own house, which we call ourselves home. For that reason you can also find everything that we would like to use in daily life. We want our guests to feel at home and behave as if it were their own home, with love and respect. For this reason we prefer families. Absolutely no smoking inside, plenty of opportunity outside...

PLEASE NOTE: It is a quiet neighborhood and noise carries far over water. Enjoy to the fullest, but limit noise nuisance until daytime (8:00 pm) and behave as if you yourself have to go on with these neighbors for years....
