Welcome aboard the "Jan"!
Our two boats, "Jan" and "Ulla", are moored in Ruthenstrom, an affluent of the river Elbe in Drochtersen. The boats are right in the middle of the beautiful countryside of the Niedersachsen district. Instead of the noise from the city, you will have rural surroundings and herons around you. The waters of the Elbe flow right beside you. How more peaceful can it get? These houseboats are perfect for a quiet weekend or a holiday in nature. Take the canoe out, and explore the little rivers and creeks for miles! Or go ashore and discover the countryside by foot or bicycle.

Houseboat description
The two authentic ships have been completely refurbished into modern, stylish apartments, but have still kept their charm. Both houseboats have oak floors, large windows that allow you to look out on the water on one side, and to the countryside through the other. Just open a window, and you can jump right in the water!
The houseboats each have one master bed room, and one room with cozy bunk beds. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped that leads directly to the living room. In the front- and back of the ship there are decks with water view. Take the stairs and you are on the roof terrace! Here, there are sun loungers and chairs, that allow you to dine outside in the evening, and look at the stars at night.
Other amenities are: central heating, fireplace, TV with DVD, and music installation. Linen is provided but you should bring your own (beach) towels! Kayaks, canoes and bicycles are available for free. The water of the Elbe is very clean, so you can always take a swim.
