Sailing ship description
Built in 1929 this steilsteven is an impressive ship all around. With its 28 meters in length and 5,5 meters in width its an impressive sight. Initially used as a freight ship she was converted into a comfortable ship that many have enjoyed sailing cruises on. Being on the deck is amazing and gives you an authentic sailing experience. Its the perfect getaway with friends, family or for a business trip.
Layout of the sailing ship
f you want to learn about courses, crosses, swings and trimming, then you have found your place! The crew is very experienced and likes to teach you how to handle a ship. Or would you rather stay with a good book on the deck, do you have good conversations or do you scour the horizon with binoculars? You will find all the space you can possibly ask for. Below deck you find a cosy seating area where you can unwind.
The two 2-person cabins and five 4-person cabins can accommodate a total of 24 people to enjoy multiple day trips. Note that we offer four extra large beds, measuring 2,10 m in lengt.
There are three bathrooms and three toilets on the ship. There is a comprehensive kitchen with a 6 pit gas stove, oven, fridge and a BBQ.

How to get there
This ship has two homeports, contact the shipper about the location you would like to start your sailing journey. The ports are the following: Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Both Enkhuizen and Hoorn can be found North of Amsterdam with quick public transport available.
About the area
The inner-city of Enkhuizen is riddled with canals and is surrounded by settlement walls dating back to the 17th century. You can see these historic sights when you stroll through the city which has a lot of authentic buildings.
You can find thee museums in Hoorn. In the Westfries Museum you will be taken back to the past of the city. While the Museum of the Twentieth century shows a more recent take of the city. There is plenty of old interesting things to see like the steam tram and a replica of the ship Halve Maen.
