This 1930 houseboat was formerly used for cereal transportation but the owners gave it a new purpose. They renovated it to make it a comfortable and relaxing home that they now rent to travellers looking for something special. Moreover, the location of the houseboat is exceptional as the Canal du Midi is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Carcassonne and its medieval cité (about 7 km) can be visited by using the bikes at your disposal (free).

Houseboat description
This former Freycinet-type canal boat was completely renovated in 2005. It now is a modern and comfortable home for up to 6 guests in an outstanding scenery.
The 90 square meters accommodation in the lower part of the houseboat has a spacious equipped kitchen as well as a comfortable living room. There are also 3 double bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms with jetted showers. In short: modern amenities mixed with the authentic and original atmosphere of this houseboat!
Guests can relax on the sundeck terrace and admire its amazing panoramic views on the Canal du Midi. Who wouldn't like to lay on a sun lounger with a glass of wine and just listen to the sound of water?
There is a lot for you to see in the area surrounding the houseboat: for example, you get to see how one operates at a canal lock. You can discover the magnificent Canal du Midi either by walking or biking on its banks. Last but not least: the medieval city of Carcassonne is a must-see!
